Well what ever they are doing is not working, latency is going one way and that is up, almost at 300ms and seeing packet loss now..
This ^^ - me too.
Confused?

I have passed the 300ms mark.... :wtf:
Do I get a prize?![]()
To explain my issue - same as what you are seeing - torrents die, but add general browsing to that.
And then, as quick as they died, so they come back to life ....
I am sure there is more to these issues than constipated exchanges and silly Telkom stuff, but then again, I am not an IT guy .....
No.
If you recall, the Telkom guy suggested I buy a new router?
Having said that, for a few days, the line was great ... then we went to back to the issue we now discuss.
Equally, the tracert tests were asked for by Afrihost, hence the results you see here.
This ^^ - me too.
Confused?
HummerCellc has an issue at his local Exchange - specifically the routing equipment - whereas you have an issue with your actual ADSL line which is causing the latency and speed issues.
Yeah, just pulling your chain ....
Cool, may I ask you to log a fault with Telkom please.
Thanks.
I'm having similar issue. Torrent was running fine and now barely moving. 0.2kB/s with over 1000 seeds.
Tracert looks none the better

I also emailed Afriman last night with all different tracert tests when I was having more issues.
Can you send me a PM with your ADSL username and ADSL line number please.

having said that, no dropped connections this evening
Why am I getting 2Meg speeds on my 1Meg account?
![]()
Unacceptable.
Im just going to leave this here to show that the issue has not yet been resolved. Ive PMed a few of the afri's before and shared some tracerts.
I am on the biz 2mb. When I try to play D3 the game has a very hard time connecting and when I connect, I cant join other games. Its like a lottery. I use mumble while playing D3 and that is impossible to use. It sounds like the other guys are talking on cellphones and they are going through a tunnel. It breaks up and sounds robotic. All this happens at night between 7 - 9. Now here is the weird thing, switching over to my Afrihost capped free 1gb account, everything is perfect again.
Thats the problem. Something is wrong on the biz account. Its not port recreation, its not my system or line or modem. The biz account will consistently be broken when this problem shows up. The only solution is to change to the 1gb account. I can switch back to the biz account and the problem will still be there. Back to the 1gb and it works fine.
So my last post just seemed to get out right ignored.
No wonder you guys have dropped in the polls so much since the last one.
