They are switching you to the alternate routing, so hopefully there will be an improvement as soon as this is done.

I'm having similar issue. Torrent was running fine and now barely moving. 0.2kB/s with over 1000 seeds.

Having said that, for a few days, the line was great ... then we went to back to the issue we now discuss.
Equally, the tracert tests were asked for by Afrihost, hence the results you see here.

HummerCellc has an issue at his local Exchange - specifically the routing equipment - whereas you have an issue with your actual ADSL line which is causing the latency and speed issues.

The problem is really much earlier, because you can see a consistent inconsistency (haha, I made a funny) from that point onwards.

No disconnects is definitely a good thing, but I'd like to see that traceroute come down and be more consistent.
 
Im just going to leave this here to show that the issue has not yet been resolved. Ive PMed a few of the afri's before and shared some tracerts.

I am on the biz 2mb. When I try to play D3 the game has a very hard time connecting and when I connect, I cant join other games. Its like a lottery. I use mumble while playing D3 and that is impossible to use. It sounds like the other guys are talking on cellphones and they are going through a tunnel. It breaks up and sounds robotic. All this happens at night between 7 - 9. Now here is the weird thing, switching over to my Afrihost capped free 1gb account, everything is perfect again.

Thats the problem. Something is wrong on the biz account. Its not port recreation, its not my system or line or modem. The biz account will consistently be broken when this problem shows up. The only solution is to change to the 1gb account. I can switch back to the biz account and the problem will still be there. Back to the 1gb and it works fine.

We've seen the reports here of D3 issues and our tests are not able to replicate this. We are definitely keen to find any possible issue. D3 is an oldie but a goodie and we know many clients still game on it. We'll keep investigating until we can see what could be happening, but it will also help if you can ensure that this is not just during peak demand but happens at any time of the day.

People need to vote with their wallets and move somewhere else. Honestly, it's not a big deal to change an ISP - some people get divorced more often than moving to an ISP that actually works.

But honestly, Afrihost made their half a billion rand from MTN so they really are coasting now.
