Looks like the higher latency is being introduced on our IPC, which isn't cool :(
Could you PM me your DSL username please?

For now it seems to be full speed again but it does drop speed every 10 minutes or so....will update the ticket....

Speeds poor, download speeds are half what normally should be. Guessing the changes you'll are looking to make haven't been fully implemented yet?

So strange, I get full speed on everything, but my latency sucks!
You get poor speed but your latency is great

I still have this strange issue with Windows Update, any update no matter the size takes forever to download. Speed tests show everything is running 100%, tracerts doesn't seem to show any issues either. I was busy reinstalling Windows on a few machines over the long weekend, and its a very painful experience having to wait over and hour to download a few mb of updates.

Yeah they are. From all the tests I've sent for a while now. Keeps showing the same. Sent tests to Afriman last week too. Showing pretty much same results. Web africa speed test much higher than Afrihost Business. Even the traceroutes. Web Africa shows much better.

Beginning of the year Afrihost Business Account was generally showing the same tests as Web Africa. Speeds were rocking. No issues. Only in the last few months has it been an issue.

That is pretty odd. Is it just MS updates?
Did you try a Capped account to compare throughput?

I'm sure things will return to blazingly fast really soon. Trust me, I want this as much as you guys!

This ^^ was doing a reinstall last week and had similar results could download full speed but updates would crawl along at next to nothing.

Also worth noting apple updates seemed to be affected too, just crawling along (Yosemite)

Seems like shaping/throttling from the Microsoft servers. Since most people have Windows Updates running automatically in the background, they won't notice ;)

In a way I feel a bit better now, was worried I was the only one complaining about this, no resolution from Afrihost though as to why I am having these issues. This is also a relatively recent issue too.
