Not sure - I dont think there is.

The last time I mailed support I was simply told there are multiple faults logged, and then my line was changed from 4 megs to 3? I asked them to sync at 4 again explaining that less speed made no difference.

AFAIK nothing is being done hence my frustration.

Edit: -

I have posted a host of data - including using another ISP and at different times of the day.

I would hate to start that process all over ..... again.

No need to start over, I'll check the history of the account and see what faults we've logged where.
Drop me a PM with your line number and I'll take care of the rest :)

Fully understand where you're coming from :( I think we all know that things aren't up to scratch, but I promise you - we're not just sitting by and watching it happen. Decisions and actions are being taken daily to rectify things.

Then we refunds or discounts should be offered until you can provide the product you advertise.

Would you be able to post some examples? I know we saw slightly higher than normal latency last night.

I'll PM you my username I'm sure you can pull the session logs from there as I really don't have the inclination to jot down every time it drops, seems to be on average 1 per evening (Right in the middle of a GTA heist thank you very much :( )

Thanks, will reply to your PM in a bit.

@Afriguy - you said that your team frequently tests Destiny and other PS4 games and there is no issue with lag. For the past 10 days, every night (7pm onwards) is filled with lag and the famous "spinning character" on Destiny. Weekends saw frequent disconnects with various Bungie errors (all related to ISP issues) and to be honest, there is nothing worse than having been kicked off the game in the last phase of a 1-2 hour raid.

Logging faults with you is pointless, as the only mitigating thing you ever do is resetting the port and asking me to restart my ADSL modem. I have heard it all: It's either Telkom, then Eskom, then Bungie, then Sony and on rare occasion one of your engineers will admit that this is actually an IPC/QoS/service-saturation issue. Don't get me wrong, downloads work mostly fine, but anything related to realtime or streaming does not work reliably 50% of the time.

I took a 10mb business uncapped account, because I need the piece of mind that when I work from home, that my connectivity and level of service is solid - I have given up on the fact that my Fortinet VPN-client disconnects dozens of times daily and overcome this by automatically reconnecting. This is an issue I previously raised but when your engineer starts of with "let's just reset the port", that's when I give up right away.

The few hours I have during the week and on weekends to kick back and play a few games on the PS4 are not supposed to be filled with "Contacting Destiny servers..." followed by a myriad of network errors. If you followed the gaming community, you will see that your network does not seem to fare very well and people have not stopped complaining. I have not bothered reading the last 100 pages of posts in this thread since I was back here the last time, but just looking at the current page, nothing seems to have improved from where I left off last month.

TL;DR: When are you going to fix your gaming/streaming mess?

Bit concerning reading through your post :(
I'm not aware of general Destiny issues, in fact I personally haven't seen Destiny brought up in a while. What I am aware of, is CS:GO isn't great - but overall, streaming and gaming shouldn't be giving you such big headaches.

Have you been in touch with our Critical Care team at all?

TBH, I have logged 3 tickets in the last 30 days (XIF-569-52312 (22.4.), KIF-359-64573 (3.4.), NHE-686-42215 (31.3.) and all resulted in more or less the same thing (port recreated, restart router, change DNS to Google, change DNS back to us). If I had to log a ticket for every time I face an issue, I would have logged another 5 this month alone. But it's really pointless as it's not a port or line issue.

Thanks for the ref#s, I'll ask our Critical Care guys to run through some tests and get the bottom of it. I know we have one of the guys in the office runs a lot of testing on Xbox One games and services.

Hey AH. Your updated app for android is awesome. Much better than the old one.

Same thing that happened couple days ago. youtube. Direct downloads running at half speed.

I generally check YouTube out most nights and I haven't seen any problems on my end, but I guess it depends on which region you are in, what time you're testing and what demand is like when you test.

Can you post any testing you did?

This speed fluctuation and youtube issue I've only been having recently. The past week at most. Youtube issue is not the streaming it's the actual website that takes an age to load (when my speeds are fluctuating) sometimes I have to refresh several times before it loads. It happens periodically. Randomly at different times.

I can see there is some latency happening so it's possible that it's affecting your real time browsing but the symptoms you're describing seem worse than the trace route seems to indicate.

Are you connecting from the North? Latency should be pretty solid at the moment on the network in general. I did see some latency in the South and East, but that is also normalising right now, should be back to what we expect :(

I'm in Lenasia. South of Joburg.

The speed fluctuation gets really bad. Downloading speed sometimes drops to 20kbps.

Latency should definitely be normal in the North (you would be in that region). Tests running on our side are showing normal latency and performance :(
