High LoL ping again tonight.

Afrihost Business Uncapped:

Webafrica Trial account:

So, definitely something fishy on the afrihost account.

That is way off of where it should be!

Our Team is doing testing specifically with LoL tonight, I'll pass these results on and get their thoughts on it.

What does AH/MTN have against streaming ? ... I can download till the cows come home, I can torrent and game and go absolutely crazy with my line ... but streaming ? ... heavens no ... That is not important at all ....

Latency is terrible but it seems the MyBB site is taking much longer to load than usual, my first speed test timed out.

Well there's nothing wrong with OSX (some of my best friends use it) but we'd never use such nefarious means to convert people :)

Is the installer not working (connecting) at all, or is it horribly slow?

It was just going pathetically slow for 30 min.
It did improve!

Also - windows updates are beginning to download!

Did something change your side? I am quite happy with the performance. It hovered around 1-2Mbps for the most part with disconnects still occurring semi-regularly though that could just be my router - will confirm with next build as new modem and router incoming.

Purspyk!! any improvements your side? Hoping your side was improved as well.

Looks like its better now. I didn't get any correspondence though.

We're definitely seeing more latency than we'd like in the South and your experience seems pretty consistent with the reports I have for this time last night. All this info is going back to the technical team for them to try and improve this. Our aim is to preserve latency as top priority, so I am sure they'll be working hard to see what can be done :(

We didn't make any changes that I know of. From the time of your post, it would seem like this was around the time that demand died down and latency improved. I would probably guess that this is why things improved :(

Sorry that you didn't get feedback, but glad things are better.

I couldn't find your original message, but you welcome to drop me a PM if you want me to follow up on that :(

I haven't had time to test yet. Odd that they say no changes have been made, but they said they were working on optimising things to improve the Windows downloads. I might have time to test tonight if we have power.

I think we've been optimising general network efficiency, but as far as I know there were no specific changes made to anything directly related to Windows updates.

I hope its better, as the latest Windows 10 version is only available via Windows Update, and if a virus definition file of a couple of kb takes hours, I hate to know how long a few gb will take.

Something broken? Had to switch to another provider to open web pages, on Afrihost get some dns error

I'm seeing our Support guys chat about this at the moment, we're checking things out at the moment.
Try switch over to Googles DNS in the mean time, that seems to work :)
