Okay so latency is still bad again this evening. Why is this not fixed yet? I am paying good money for no service. Yes, no service. Latency means no service to me, A.K.A. useless. I cannot enjoy my gaming with crappy latency. So what now? More "let see where we can assist." responses like;

1.) Please do a pingtest to here
2.) Try this account
3.) Ask a bunch of seriously irrelevant questions.
4.) Sugar coat the low flying turd out a useless response.
5.) PM me your details so I can have a look.
6.) Which area are you in?
7.) And a partridge in a pear flippin tree.

For the love of all that is holy, I am now seriously going to see where else I can get my monies worth.

We did see poor latency in the South yesterday. With the other issues we experienced, I think it was difficult to prioritise the work we normally do to keep latency as low as possible. We'll definitely be keeping a closer eye on this.

I get your frustration around these issues, but I also think engaging is the only way we can help you, and that's what these forum threads are about. We do our absolute best to impart as much info as we have access to here, and also try to troubleshoot with each individual client so that we can either isolate individual cases, or report back general problems (which we've found in the past has been very helpful) to the technical teams. I can totally understand a general rant here and there, but we need real data to move forward either way, or we're not really using the forums to it's potential. I hope that makes sense. We're here to help and try to make things better in any way possible, so please take us up on this and let us try our best to improve your experience wherever we can.

So I lost connection just before 10pm and I'm unable to reconnect, any outages in the south? I really hope this isn't a repeat of last time.

In terms of authentication, if that's down in one region, all regions would be similarly affected, so that's unusual. From general reports everything should be back to normal again.

Can you PM me if you're still offline?

My connection died earlier, but reconnected no problem. Perhaps the authentication issues have returned.

We did see some isolated cases, but after about 4pm we saw normal authentications resume and the large majority of clients have been able to connected again as normal.

I'm in southern suburbs and have lost connection now but it's both pppoe and dal that's not establishing properly. Del will sync for a but pppoe will be rejected and eventually it will drop sync and start again.

Drop me a PM if you haven't connected since this post and I'll check it out for you :(

Yip. my youtube has been crap the past 4-5 months. (i'm thinking that it is shaping of some sort... or simply not enough capacity on their network to accommodate every business user)

My bet is on Capacity in CPT is not enough.

Youtube has not run as well as it should at times, but for the most part you should definitely not be experiencing below par performance on Youtube for four to five months!

That is definitely something we need to look into ASAP! How is your Youtube running at the moment? Would you be able to run a traceroute to Youtube.com? I just need to make sure it is routing to the correct local cache server.

While the speeds are great the latency is terrible, I miss the days of sub 50ms, This is local by the way. I also live just over 1km from the exchange.

Things are running okay at the moment... Where are you seeing the latency spike on the Traceroutes?

Wow... That's not good at all... Are you connecting from the North or South IPC?

:(

We're getting similar reports of increases in latency, we're checking everything on our side, I should have some news shortly.
