We're full steam ahead on the improvements!

What is the steps/timeline/schedule for the "fix"? Not giving steps/ballpark dates at this point is confirmation that you are not going to fix it. If you don't have ETA's then give us ETA's to when you will have those ETA's.

Any form of compensation will be reviewed once we've sorted out the root cause.
We've given back to our clients wherever possible before so I don't see this being any different.

Careful - those are empty promises: I have it in writing from your account department that they will not refund money charged on 1st July although the service was cancelled 4th July. Just because someone says "it will be reviewed" means nothing and will most likely be declined. So follow the CPA / chargeback route.

There are no timeframes confirmed at this stage, any updates will be communicated as soon as they're available.

My connection has been decent the last few days. Usually full speed downloads, Youtube mostly fine and latency not great but not terrible. Looking forward to this wonderful new network Gian mentioned.

Lucky you. 2am and my downloads fluctuation from 0-10kbps for a few minutes then 100-200kbps and then back to 0-10kbps.

:)

speeds has now totally gone down the crapper this service has now become unacceptable
come on ah pull your finger out your ahole and sort it out as it is not a free service

Awesome - I see latency has largely improved, especially in the South. We're still seeing high latency in the East, but the guys are working on this.

I have a lot of faith in the new network (s). I've been lucky enough to test the one, and my experience has been awesome.

We are still seeing throughput affecting when demand is high, but that shouldn't be the case at 2am. Is that on a torrent or just general throughput?

I am not understanding why people are seeing improvements before the "POCs".
The whole mess seems like everyone is running around kicking different tyres to make it work.
Either the network is borked and you need a new one, or its misconfigured and you need to fix it, or its capacity and you are getting more.

It's really not as simple as that. I think the current network is great to do what it was designed to do, but we have more ambitious plans to do things in a different way, but to also have more direct control over the network's resources so that we cut out any intermediary processes around getting additional capacity or traffic management so that we can turn things around faster. I think the current issues just highlighted that with the size of our client base, we needed to be able to do more directly and use the feedback we receive from forums like MyBB and our other channels to tailor the network to serve our client's needs exclusively.

Are all the issues now taken care of? I see the network health indicator on the website is back to a happy green status.

I think we've seen latency come down, though we'd still like to see better throughput when demand is high. I think we're probably close or ready for client testing on the new network as well, so things should be a lot better right now.

Yip is also see the "green ball" but latency 'in sy moer' here

AH, don't you ever learn?
It is a LIE to say " Our DSL Broadband network is running like a bomb! Everything is copacetic and we’re good to GO!" when you know full well that the network isn't right.
:mad::o:what:

I can totally understand what you mean here, unfortunately seems like management have taken a decision here to convey this in that way. I think it's probably in anticipation of large amounts of traffic being moved to the POC networks, and we should see better performance all round. We've already seen latency come down dramatically.

SIGH... AH.. You are SUCH a bunch of LIARS!

So does this mean we can expect to move over to the new POC today??
