Looks like there is really bad congestion here. Our network is performing pretty well at the moment and we're seeing pretty good throughput and latency.
Do we manage your line? Maybe I can check with Telkom if your exchange is congested and possibly due for an upgrade![]()
Yes. You do manage my line.
It would be very kind if you could assist urgently here. Got a few online league races coming up, and this won't cut it. :/

Exchange congestion isn't a quick fix I'm afraidWe need to log a fault for you with Telkom who need to, ideally, upgrade the infrastructure in the area.
Drop me a PM and I'll see what I can do here.
Your exchange is stuffed. There's nothing any ISP can do to fix that.
Thanks.
I do not really care how it gets done - I have contacted Telkom on my own already, and done a log for a fault on their (Afrihost) site.
If we just accept this rubbish for the rest of our lives, Telkom will continue to **** us up the arse, but I am doing everything I can to resolve it, once again. If we don't try to improve Africa, who will? You pay for something, you expect it to work. You don't just pass the vaseline and bend over.
It happened in April at a different location with a different ISP, but I tell you, it's wonderful what social media can also do for you in 2013.
Afriguy, is AH going to be relooking at their prices/products soon with the telkom speed upgrades?
I am on a 10mb line(via AH) now with a 4mb bus acc but would like to see if it will be worth dropping to the 4mb line and maybe saving some money or maybe AH will give us a small speed boost on the ISP side![]()

And vimeo? I'd rather trust that as a test over YouTube. Http://vimeo.com/categories/hd/videos
If you get a smooth plato with speed test from rsa, it would be a first...
Ok, I ran some tests on youtube tonight and the problem still persists. Everything else is working perfectly, but Youtube refuses to stream without constant buffering on 360p+

This used to look like table mountain on my 2mb line, but now it is looking more like our highways. Lots of dips and jumps?? This needs to be sorted guys

Are the business uncapped supposed to be the same as the normal capped accounts except with max speed depending on your package ?
EDIT: Please disregard I contacted sales and they said its the same
Are your tests on vimeo showing similar results?
So turns out my problem WASN'T a congested exchange. Thanks once again to Charl from Telkom for sorting it out, again. This guy is a living legend!
