Afrihost Business Uncapped Feedback

Just purchased my 10MB business Uncapped.

Cancelled my OpenWeb 10Mbps Gamers King (Downloaders Bling!) due to terrible daytime speeds and horrific torrent spends unless its early morning. One month’s calendar Notice though :( but can’t take it no more. I'll rather spend an extra Grand for a better experience.
Hope the move is a good one albeit almost R500 more

Welcome Me :P

[-]Did you bundle?? If you added the total amounts together (R829 for account + 400 for adsl line = R1229 per month for openweb), and the 10Mbps Afirhost Business bundle is R1297, so its only like R80 difference, not R500 :P[/-]

Whoops :P Prices for Gamers King have now been replaced by Gold Uncapped (Leon Edition), and I didnt realise

Nope I don’t do bundles, I only do Data.

My Openweb’s 10Mbps Gamers King (Downloaders Bling!) Uncapped was R 596.00 when I purchased it on special early this year and still have to pay it till end Dec.
My new Afrihost’s Business Uncapped 10Meg costs R997 excluding pro rata

So it’s basically R401 diffs.
So yes you are kind of correct, R100 to me is nothing, My rounding off :P

Lol Just saw your reply :), i think it makes sense (to me :) )

I did the exact same thing and I have been extremely happy ever since.

I am a bit confused.

If i sign up through clientzone a 2mb will be R397
If i sign through the website the 2mb is R497

You are looking at bundle prices on the website, and unbundled prices on clientzone

Hi i just signed a 1meg Business account. My torrent and NNTP was running at 1meg as expected and it just stopped. No p2p traffic everything else is fine. Did AH just kill p2p?

Check clientzone and make sure that protocol prioritization is switched off. This limits p2p usage on business accounts, but is completely voluntary.

Pretty sure that's not the case. 1 Meg thru 4 Meg data lines can't all be only R100, or all be R150 before discount. At least 2 will differ.

I'm pretty sure that there's an update still missing on the mainpage. Wonder if somebody could let us know here for sure, though.

I only wanna pay R397, whether it is 1 or 2 Meg, R497 is already getting too steep for me, and I don't really need 2 Meg, but if it's at the same price as the 1 Meg now, I'd take it. Not sure what to do.

I am in the same boat here, i signed for a 1meg for now just to be safe until Afri(ppl) can clarify

damn! finally i am up and running! applied for my afrihost 1mbps bus uncapped get home to apply it to my router and my line is dead!!! so last night for some reason at like 10pm it came on... if telkom really do work that late im impressed. but anyway got it in now will see how it goes. does that P2P prioritization thing actually work? as in if i don't want to shape P2P i just turn it off?

Prices on the website are correct. The new line speeds haven't been updated in ClientZone yet but if you've upgraded and just want to make sure you are on the correct package (and paying the right price), feel free to send me a pm.
