@AfriMan and who ever wishes to reply, I am seriously thinking of switching over from Openweb to Afrihost, I intend on signing up for the 4mb business uncapped.
Just a few questions, I average between 300-400gb p/m, will I be considered as a high bandwidth user and will I be shaped after business hours for this kind of usage?

I am hoping that since this thread has hardly has any replies, that all is well with business uncapped, 24/7....

All is generally well. I'm on 4Mbps business and it's great over 90% of the time. It really is unshaped 24/7. I'm not sure if Afrihost still has a throttling policy for business users, but even if they haven't done away with it you'd have approach 700GB to worry about it. I worked out once that if you download overnight every night, you'd still have 11GB at your disposal every day during normal hours until you exceeded the rolling threshold.

was crawling on Openweb just now, at about 50Kb/s, what a difference between the two accounts, I didn't take the bundled option, the price compared to Openweb is around the same for me...seems like Openweb was screwing me over...

There is absolutely no shaping on Business DSL ever, regardless of time of day or the amount you of data you have used. We don't use any kind of threshold system, and definitely no throttling. It's completely unshaped 24/7

Afriman - You should run half off June Sale for Business (specifically for 2mb users) so that they don't feel too bad that they want to leave their ISP but can only leave at the end of June as they are tied in till then and don't want to feel like they wasting money on two accounts running simultaneously (Okay, okay this is target specifically at me). Lol. But I will see you soon as my current ISP ends at the end of this month. Tempted to move to you now but feel it is a waste to run both at the same time and pay the full price.

You should have changed before now. I paid R1 for March when I joined. And I was moving from Mweb, so I downgraded my package to the cheapest R29 1GB account and cancelled, and that's all Mweb cost me the following month.

Lol. Yeah - I am just keen to get an unshaped 24/7 experience with Afrihost. I have been with them for the regular uncapped version and daytime was so bad. I changed to another ISP and experienced pure bliss - until recently. They seem to be dead during the day and what is the use as I have started working half-days and when I get home I am lucky if the browsing is working. You email the ISP and they say there is nothing wrong with the account but yet browsing times-out.
