Anyone else one a business account experiencing issues with netflix, buffering?

I was trying to watch Futubox and gave up. Even after one of the servers registered a speed of 4500kb/s. Even setting to SD didnt help

I have had this issue for a long time now. My business line is useless when it comes to streaming after hours. Netflix, hulu etc.. My speed tests do however seem normal. Could it be that they shape streaming ports after hours?

Very good point.I experience the same. Speedtest says all is normal, but streaming from various sources is terrible.
 
I upgraded to an 8mb account and still it is not satisfactory and that is on SD quality.

I just bought a WD Live box for the TV. If streaming doesn't pick up soon I'll consider changing ISP. Streaming is a critical function of the internet these days. Never mind Hulu, BBC iPlayer, Netflix etc. - even Youtube is slow. And I've tried every configuration possible with DNS and VPN settings.
 
Netflix on 4Mb/s has been acceptable the last few nights, however Hulu does not work for me. Congestion is always blamed.
Telkom is at least upgrading my exchange, which should open up some other possibilities soon.....

BTW. I have to agree, business hours all is perfect. From 4pm onwards, streaming (when I actually want to watch something) becomes somewhat impossible most times.
 
I have to join this chat - Netflix does not go above 1 bar when viewing! (Quality bars at the top left). It is super irritating! Even though I only have 2mb line and I choose my speed on Netflix it does not make a difference. My mate has a 2mb line and he gets much better clarity than me (2 bars at least). Afriman what is happening with TV streaming?
 
Reading these latest posts has me worried. I am currently on my last month with Mweb, cancelled due to the same issues reported above and had plans to move over to Afrihost. Looks like I will be no better off. This is not what I was expecting.
 
Afrihost does mention that priority is not given to business clients after hours. So it could really be that they they are shaping them ports.

I used telkoms uncapped in February last, and it was great for using netflix and the like, but speeds during the day was slow. What to do? Am tired of changing ISP's like underwear.

Not true, that policy fell away a few weeks ago.

My latency to League of Legends EU servers has been 225+ this whole week compared to my normal 198-205. Anyone else experiencing higher pings to the EU?
 
Come on Afrihost. Please look into this.

My main reason for signing up for an 8mb line is to be able to stream live tv. Once again I was having hassles last night.

Sorry to catch onto this thread so late. I see that YouTube, Netflix are showing issues, and also some gaming (LoL).

Is that the gist of it? Is throughput and latency normal otherwise?

Can those experiencing issues please drop me a PM so I can get some guys working on this ASAP :(
