Hi Afriman

Can you take a look at the following online streaming sites to see if you/they are experiencing issues?

Hulu Plus
Netflix
Futubox
Youtube
Superugby (http://www.superrugby.livesport.tv/)
Skysports

Don't worry about live cricket streaming - not worth watching the way the Proteas are playing

I for one signed up for this specific account for online streaming.

Thanks

I have sent you a PM Afriman - Streaming has been quite poofy lately :(

I have come to the conclusion that live streaming is not a viable option (for me at least) at this moment.

I am on an 8mb connection and get breakup on both SD and HD streams. My house is 1.25km from the exchange.

That's outrageous. Afrihost should make fixing their streaming issues a top priority. They're going to lose many customers, including me, if it isn't sorted soon.

I am getting 0.4MB/s on international, 2Mb/s on local....4MB/s account. Been going on for some time now even after a port reset etc. Getting a little concerned as the only thing that's working for me is Netflix. Even my windows updates are failing. WTF? Its not congestion. Tried to download a file now and getting 24kb/s!

Not great seeing these speeds :(
Can you drop me a PM with your details and I'll see if I can spot anything on our end that could possibly be causing these issues.

What type of performance can be expected with streaming?

What is the after hours speeds like? My wife works with may International companies, so she will need a decent speed at night, especially when dealing with clients in the USA, or Australia.

I am currently with Mweb and their speeds are continuously pathetic. I was told the speed issues were my router, bought a new router no difference. My Mweb account ends this month, so I am looking for a new ISP.
