Not sure what may have gone wrong there. We're still trying to get info if there were any changes made. To my knowledge nothing was changed at all. Glad it's normal again. If something goes pear-shaped again, we'll need to escalate this urgently :(

Afriman please  we need static IP's here..... Mweb has gone to the dogs, and don't know how much longer I can hold out here.......

Please push for this service!

We're pushing for this as hard as we can, we know this is a big feature for lots of business clients. As soon as we can offer this at a price that we're happy with (in terms of hardware and monthly costs), we will make it available :)

Afriman - You should run half off June Sale for Business (specifically for 2mb users) so that they don't feel too bad that they want to leave their ISP but can only leave at the end of June as they are tied in till then and don't want to feel like they wasting money on two accounts running simultaneously (Okay, okay this is target specifically at me). Lol. But I will see you soon as my current ISP ends at the end of this month. Tempted to move to you now but feel it is a waste to run both at the same time and pay the full price. :D

We run all kinds of specials. And don't forget you can always PM me for a discount link, so we'll do what we can to make your transfer to us as painless as possible :)

Hi Afriman,

I have been monitoring my line over the last few weeks. Like clockwork at 4PM every afternoon my streaming starts to buffer like crazy. My dsl is perfect during the day for local access, although I barely get more than 1Mbs international speeds at any given time of day. I'm on the 4Mbs package. Any ideas?

Thanks

Sounds like congestion at your exchange....

We'd need to see a traceroute from when it's fine, and then another when it starts buffering to compare latencies at each hop. As someone mentioned, it seems to hint at congestion at your exchange, but let's be sure.

Drop me a PM with the traceroutes :)

Thanks, I will do that this afternoon. I have noticed that one of the MTN nodes in Natal was giving high pings.

My account is dead. Trying everything I can think of to get it up again, but it's staying dead.

Edit: working again.

AfriMan and others. Just purchased a 6Mb Business Uncapped account and going to give it a try :) I'm excited and expecting great things! Hoping to finally switch over from my MWEB Premium Uncapped account, so expect to see some feedback from me!

For the last couple days I have had major buffering on Youtube or any streaming. Hopefully this will pass because the first few days were awesome :)
