We can't cover 3rd party expenses, sorry.
I will evaluate other ISP's and I will feedback.

Also quite complicated
I truly do believe that both MTN and our teams have thought everything through. If there was a way to improve things we would have.
I *never* said it's easy... I said it's a POSSIBILITY. And frankly, it *is* a possibility. Afrihost just CHOOSE not to implement it, even though it can be used long term too if ***** like this ever happen again (and I'm confident it will). Frankly, I wouldn't be surprised if Afrihost didn't even THINK about this as a possible way to avoid a ***** storm a few months ago when it MUST HAVE become evident that Telkom isn't going to deliver, and that there would be serious capacity issues due to the non-delivery.
It doesn't matter WHAT is being said here... You guys are DEAD SET on 'there is nothing we can do.' - like a bunch of puppets stuck in a box, "we can't get out." Telkom's a nice easy, and convinient escape route (yes, I've used it a few times too - I know what Telkom's like, I've worked with allot of X.21 as well as Metro-E deployments through Telkom). You're just not INTERESTED in solving this in ANY other way than sitting on your arses twiddling your thumbs waiting for Telkom to pitch up with some fiber, are you? Customer satisfaction means diddly bugger all for Afrihost.
BTW - I have another ticket in your so called support desk that I've been waiting on feedback now for 4 days now... Again, it just prooves my point - Afrihost is not interested in the needs and requirements of CUSTOMERS *at all*. If your idea of support is having to escalate every single SIMPLE query through you - then you are sadly mistaken. What's the point of having a support desk then if everything has to go through you? Is Afrihost a one-man show, or does the rest just not bother to do any work...
But hey - pay up!
It probably is an option, and possibly was considered. If it was a viable solution for both our clients and ourselves it would have been implemented.
I truly believe that waiting for the additional capacity is the best bet here. I know it's taking it's time, but it'll be here. We always come out of these situations a stronger ISP.

Waiting is the best bet for AFRIHOST. Not for its clients. And yes AFRIHOST comes out stronger. Mean while, customers are paying full price and getting 1/4 of the service. Afrihost is coining it while the customer doesn't get what they pay for, for several months.
Everything you just said sounds like company spokes person gimmick, but who can blame you. It's your job. I believe you yourself personally don't even agree with the service that's been provided whilst customers are paying full price.
Yes thanks Taranis. This is perfectly alright. You cannot run more than one connection simultaneously - that's it.
How did you get around the account being locked to the phone number of the subscriber?
Oh my web africa capped account is flying, its unreal!
I used my AH Business account, PostmanPot used my AH Business account... and we were both using it at the same time.
So much for "locked to the phone number of the subscriber".
I also gave Zertop my account to use as a test, as well as a couple of other friends after that to test... trying to eliminate my setup as a variable, this was before the official IPC announcement or acknowledgement of any issue.
Maybe this too is one of those "grey areas".
I bet they did not predict this, their calculation was correct!
Pity web africa only has static ip on a 3k account
Max speeds here.

Nice this is the reason why there is not enough capacity! Keep on pirating, so that we that need bandwidth for legitimate purposes can suffer
