Like I said, my stream works perfectly on you 1Gb and one Gb Web Africa. On the business I have to restart it every minute or two.

Please grab as much info as you can, our team will be able to run some checks on this.

Sounds like at least you've found a workable solution. Please also report this to the Critical Care team you've been working with (I'll also mention to them). This might help others experiencing similar problems :)
No go it looks like. Switched back to my AH this afternoon. Fired up Netflix 20 mins ago and already had one buffer and one buffer with a stall rewiring a restart of the show.
So WA improved with the DNS change. AH remained broken):

I have given up with critical care. They have not done anything or reported anything.

Ok this is now getting out of hand. Youtube buffering 720p when months ago I could stream with large segments ahead and even 1080p.

This now needs to be fixed or you will shed customers quickly.

Can't watch this on 720p, nothing else on the line. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M4OX3kFw1pA&list=PLZLTS4u9M_2rHsPvtuAoyKFTL7m14mi3n

Sorry to hear this is not working as expected. I did chat with the Critical Care agent you've been dealing with and he says he has been in contact with you by phone and email. I'll check in with him again regarding this :(

I tested this video and it played pretty well for me, one very short buffer about 4 or 5 minutes in. But it depends on what line and speed you're testing on, and what throughput you are getting. I'm getting pretty much full throughput on my line on a capped account.

I reported an issue to both Afrihost and Hetzner this morning that we are getting huge packet loss between their two servers. It's been two hours and not a single response. As a business uncapped customer I expect better service.

Sorry about the delays here :(
Do you have the ticket ref# that I can follow up on? Can't see any issues on our end - can't be sure what's causing the issues here.

I can confirm bad packet loss to the above mentioned IP (20%). Same packet loss to MyBB. Minor packet loss (<5%) to a lot of other sites. I normally don't experience any packet loss at all.

This vid gets to 25 seconds and gets stuck (on 1080p setting). Refreshing a few times does not even work.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xiERPVIEvSc

On 720p is does exactly the same. 25 seconds in, and stuck....
480p buffers like mad, and I have to leave it for at least 5 minutes to buffer finished before watching.

Nice, hey?

These results aren't looking too bad.
Is it 25 seconds on the dot it buffers? What DNS servers are you using?

I know, all the test show very good results. Pity that trying to watch ANY streaming video from any source is akin to watching certain politicians flapping their gums and spewing drivel, makes me want to strangle someone.

Using the AH DNS settings on the router, and tried the Google DNS settings and nothing changes.
Almost every Youtube vid on 720p or 1080p settings gets to anywhere between 20 and 40 seconds and bombs out.
Been like this for over a month already...

This vid gets to 25 seconds and gets stuck (on 1080p setting). Refreshing a few times does not even work.

On 720p is does exactly the same. 25 seconds in, and stuck....
480p buffers like mad, and I have to leave it for at least 5 minutes to buffer finished before watching.

Nice, hey?

4mb line (not MTN tho)

Plays fine.
