Afrihost Business Uncapped Feedback

Seriously? Some of us have been strung along for two months now, so how long should we wait exactly? 6 months, 12 months? Nope, I'm sorry, I don't agree with you...As a forumite has pointed out, the customer care is very much non existent with AH...Tests after tests after tests, only for them to say your exchange is congested when another ISP's account works just fine...That's not going to fly...

Well then yes... if I was in your shoes with constant bad service I would leave. But currently, I'm not. It's simple, vote with the wallet.

On the topic of slow performance, when will international browsing/downloading speeds be addressed?

It has been a few weeks since I made a complaint about my poor international performance, but as of yet I have only received two notifications from Afrihost telling me that MTN Business can't identify what the problem is, and that more testing needs to be done.
The last notification I received was on 5 September, and I have not seen any improvements in the quality of international browsing/downloading.

I have noticed that other users are complaining about international speeds as well, and as such I would like to hear what Afrihost has to say on the matter?

The issue most of us have is the fact that is Appears we are being lied to.

The issue I have is that I am paying a premium price for a business product, which was supposed to allow me to run my business. Instead I get the ****ty speeds and what appears to be no actual benefit over other 'normal' accounts.

By the way, it's even worse now, down to 3mbps.

I believe some changes were made on Tuesday to address this, obviously not the best time to test this though :(
Once the demand levels normalise we can re-look this with fresh eyes.

I fully understand that, I know the speeds are far from desirable at present.
We're doing everything possible to get this normalised. I'm really sorry about this :(

Awesome, please keep us posted on the matter!

Everything -except- refunds and/or credits, right? Why not limit traffic to/from apple's servers *if* this is indeed the IOS upgrades which is straining you? Probably because it's NOT the cause, right?

I can't comment/ authorise any refunds at this stage, sorry.

And neither can you read further than the words credit / refund either it seems.

I can't authorise my payments to you either at this stage then. We can fight about it -once more- at the end of the month I suppose.

I did read the rest of your post, I feel the cause and what's being done has been covered here extensively already.

Both AfriMan and myself are always open to discussion on a public forum :)
We're being as transparent as absolutely possible, when we hear any news/ feedback around the slow speeds it gets posted here.

I know this is all really, really frustrating. I would be just as frustrated :( I promise, we have our best guys on this working to normalise speeds.

Sorry!! But if that is the case then your "best guys" are just not up to the task. After days of this problem, and it has been simmering for a lot longer, they still have no idea what the problem is and therefore no idea of how to fix it or when that will happen.

One would assume that they would be in a better position to monitor the network and see exactly where the problem is. It is quite clear from the outside that there is a severe capacity problem and that no amount of optimization, fine tuning, denial or delaying is going to fix it.

Whatever happens, we'll definitely learn from this. I think we have already :)
We can only get better from here.

Didn't we hear that NUMEROUS times before? You are CLEARLY not learning from your mistakes, as the same thing happens over, and over, and over again...

I think we have, meetings and decisions will definitely be held on how we can move forward from this.

I'm 99% sure that you said the same thing after the last iOS update.

And the epic IPC Upgrade failure, and a few other things too...

Quite possible, and I think we made good strides forward :)

By the looks of things on here, I feel that the majority would not agree with you :) But I'm glad you think it's funny :) Just shows how much your users really mean to you.
