Thanks, even after hours? Were are you located. I am in cpt, wasn't there some issues with the southern part of the country at one stage?

Hi Afriguy. I am getting 490bytes/s on downloads. It took me almost 6 minutes to get this page to load. My home phone is now also dead. Please help!
I believe our team is working with you on this one?
From what I understand we're putting preasure on Telkom for feedback. I'll request feedback for you now.
Hi Afriman, it is now Wednesday...any idea when the issue will be resolved? It has been quite a few days....
We're really sorry about the delays, we're pushing as hard as we possibly can to get things resolved for you.
Unfortunately it's not up to us on when things do get actioned though - but we're always following up on things though. Our team will be in contact the moment we have any feedback for you.
Well, my line fault is in the hands of "criticalcare".
If it really was a hospital, I'd have died by now.
I feel your pain! I have been without connectivity for a week now.
I've requested an update from our team on this one for you, they'll give you a buzz tomorrow sometime.
A quick question for those on business uncapped, I'm looking to switch from my current ISP to Afrihost so just looking for some advice.
I'm most likely going to take the 6Mbps Gold Package.
1. Is there any throttling or limiting of bandwidth on specific websites during the day? (My current ISP said that the new rule is they limit bandwidth on certain http websites so I don't get full download speed during the day (During the day on my 6Mbps line I get about 120kbps download but at night it goes back up to 400kbps and sometimes even higher - but only on specific http websites).
2. It there any limiting on Torrents during the day as well? (With my current ISP I get between 1kBps - 10kBps during the day and at night up to 100kBps on my 6mbps line).
3. Are there any streaming issues with Afrihost (I do a lot of international web streaming Lectures and webcasts - current ISP doesn't really have issues with this).
Any feedback would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Hi KoolDaffy
I was previously on openweb, and about 5 days ago i did joined afrihost on the business uncapped 6mbps. Honestly i should of stayed with openweb since while i was on openweb i could get SuperHD quality on Netflix (streaming) , on afrihost i hardly get 720p, then local speed is always good but international max i get is about 3mbps , to any USA or UK based servers. P2P is ok , max i get is about 600KB/s... Youtube was ok but last two/three nights terrible (kept buffering on 460p). So overall not the best account for me, i don`t know for others , but in 5 days all i experienced was authentication problems, bad netflix streaming, bad international speeds, worse latency then previous ISP.
Hope this gives you an idea, however please let other people also comment and then decide. If it continues like this for me in the next few days i will cancel and go back. (also openweb also has its own bad side)...![]()
