Opened up a 6MB business account as stated earlier... Decided WTF and have upgraded to the 8MB account for an extra R100.00 :D

Compared to a 10MB Fool's Gold account that is still shaped to death!

Anyone on 2Mbit having issues with Twitch? On medium quality. I'm buffering every 20 - 30 seconds, and this is my first day with Afrihost...

Oh dear ... I am having issues now ... was working fine this afternoon, but buffering now every 30 / 40 seconds on medium as well.

Also 2Mbit in CT southern suburbs.

Got my account setup yesterday, so far so good.

Great support from the call center, there were a couple of issues getting the account up and going but all sorted.

VPN to the office is much better, can actually work remotely now :)
 
Very very impressed and happy with my 6Mb account!

Doing some STEAM game re-installs (HDD died last month.....), and looky here:

It is going along at over 500k/sec consistently and check that peak! I have been keeping an eye on it and it has been over 2Mb on a few occasion in the last 2 hours.

I've just cancelled my Business account one day after signing up. Signed up with another ISP (gone back to my original one), Twitch working perfectly and R30 cheaper per month.

Pity, I like Afrihost.

AfriGuy, I mailed support about it. I would appreciate it if I'm not billed, or at least billed pro-rata for one day of use (1.7GB). I'm not interested in double my money back.
 
All this talk of North and South in this thread, where does Durban fit in? Are folks in the East also experiencing these Afrihost congestion issues?

So is this confirmation that this account is not the same as uncapped (despite the claim)?

This is bad news. I use Twitch A LOT.

Has your line been upgrade from 2Mbit to 4Mbit? Or did you downgrade to 1Mbit (now 2Mbit)?
