I think when our network is upgraded, people will get the service they expect. I thought that was your main issue.
The main issue is that you are not delivering the service you sold to me.

I would have thought the solution were quite simple. Cancel and move.
I get the client side as i dont think telling clients over and over to wait is fair either. Yes hurling insults is not cool i agree but its a catch 22. Its a sad tugg of war this. Afrihost is not willing to budge on compensation or getting 3rd party vendors involved and clients arent willing to stop complaining about the service they are paying for. I feel for both parties. However clients come first in business. I really feel for you in this Afriman but this is business i guess.
And managements decision was not to refund clients and keep as many clients as possible throughout the drought. Not a good decision in my opinion.
Unless a management decision is made to that effect, I don't think there will be a blanket refund policy.
Like I said, we'll determine what the impact has been to clients in general and we'll find a way to make that up to our clients in a way that makes sense. We've always gotten it right in the past, and I have every confidence that Gian and the management team will do so now - and continue to do so in the future.
Tried to bring it up, got shot down. So i'm just sitting and watching right now.
Hey wait, my work day can start.... I can now type in a ssh session![]()

Perhaps its time to take an additional step and create an IPC AH CT thread.
So that this thread can return to just feedback. Besides... then everything is in place for reference sake and you don't have to siff through this thread. Just a thought.... and of course it will draw more attention than being in here.
Technically, complaining about something that isn't working, is feedback
Do I think we are all maybe taking it too far on occasion... sure I do...
As I mentioned before, were it you that was having this constant and persistent problem for over a month, I think you might not be so calm. Or am I wrong?
Not really. Looking at how I handled the mweb saga
1) Realized they are crooks.
2) Make a thread about it.
3) Begin tryouts of other options.
4) Leave.
KISS. It works.
We're trying to give you some background and context to how we've arrived here, and if you're not willing to listen or don't care, that would explain why you're posting the stuff you are.
If not for the sake of this thread, then for your own stress levels - just hear us out. We're trying to explain how we got here, and that we're all in this together. There's not a single person in AH sitting back going, "wow, we really pulled one over on jeanres or all our Business clients". But sometimes our hands are tied.
Let me tell it was not easy to get more capacity! We had to make commitments and concessions to make this happen, but our directors did this willingly to make sure our clients get the best experience. Whether you choose to listen or believe that, it's the absolute truth.
Do the smart thing Create a thread. Single entry point
/win.
Dude your dealings with telkom is not my problem, Afrihost messed up, not me![]()
More work for the reps... more threads to patrol and answer... more people upset because of delays - no thanks![]()

I don't think I can help you here, and by the sounds of it this direction is not going down well for the rest of the forumites in this thread.
I suggest we resolve this offline, and I'm pretty sure we can do so very quickly.
So resolve it then, I will await your phone call or PM.
I will ask this again and again why is there no notification on your website about IPC issues?

This has been covered several times. We made the decision becuase the notification on the website is not intended for long terms issues like this. If we have an urgent IPC outage, or an issue like today's latency, we're not going to be able to post it if there is a long term issue on the website already.
