Please see my pm. It seems that I've sent my line to the afterlife somehow as it syncs, but will not complete the handshake :(
 
I tested afrihost using opendns 208.67.222.222 as my dns server and its does seem faster, youtube, google maps and play store also loads much faster.

That's pretty strange. And when you switch back - what exactly are you experiencing? Could you post some comparisons?

Will do tonight when at home, i think its the time it takes to resolve the dns query.
Can someone else test it too and confirm ?

Hulu basically unwatchable again, while ping is in the 7ms range and speedtest in the 9mbps range. It's really difficult to believe that some sort of shaping is not being applied.

Have you tried another streaming service at all, just to have a comparable result.

Maybe it's contention ratio... because I also get a lot of buffering.
 
I've just watched 2 episodes of 'The Middle' with my family on Hulu at 720p.. no buffering at all

10mb Business Uncapped - Morningside, Durban (Gordon Road exchange)
 
This is how the business uncapped compares with other accounts at Twitch HD streaming:

AH business uncapped: Buffers every few seconds.
AH capped: A lot more stable, maybe buffers once every 5 minutes if at all.
Axxess business uncapped: Buffers every few seconds.
Axxess capped: A lot more stable, maybe buffers once every 5 minutes if at all.
WebAfrica business uncapped: No buffering.

Unfortunately it's pretty clear that the MTN based uncapped accounts aren't very stream-friendly. There's also an obvious improvement in the quality of Netflix when using the WA or capped accounts.

Please go to twitch.tv and play any stream on the High quality setting and see how well it plays?

I tested on my Roku a few nights ago based on our last discussion with the unofficial store (thanks for that - some gems in there).
I got no buffering, but the quality was terrible. No ways I could sit through that. Was like a 320x240 vid blown up to fit the 1080p screen. Nasty stuff.

:D Welcome to my world. It works very well on the WA account though, which it seems will be my new home.
