So for the past week I have been watching TV shows on Hulu and streaming using netflix, I always select the highest quality available for a stream. I have not seen any buffering on my tablet, pc or xbox. I use a 10meg business uncapped account. So I can safely say I do not think the streaming issues that people are complaining about are directly related to Afrihosts network.
Maybe I am just one of the lucky ones?

With my 10mb Business account I too have zero problems streaming Netflix & Hulu in HD on my Xbox, PC, and Android devices. On my WDTV Live media box, however, Hulu sometimes has weird freezing/buffering problems (been behaving recently though). I've come to realize that performance can vary on different devices.
There is definitely no general Netflix or Hulu streaming issue on Afrihost's network (using a 10mb unshaped account, at least). Twitch isn't so hot though...

Have you ever tried contacting Hellscum here in Pretoria on a Sunday?
I would have better luck getting a conversation with Obama via a direct line to his personal cellphone than getting through to anyone here at Telkom.
Line was perfectly fine until 9:57 this morning. Then it went dead and is still dead even though the router and router admin page shows there is a connection.
Opened a ticket in Client Zone, got a reply that a port reset was done and all should be fine yadda yadda blah blah, but 5 hours later and still no ADSL connection.

Thanks for that. I am connected to the Waterkloof exchange (012 460 number).
Definitely a Telkom issue:... Webafrica was also not working.... latest update, issue resolved
