Afrihost canning double mobile data

Everybody who signed up AFTER the mail was sent out might have a valid case to complain though. As advertsing double data PER MONTH and providing double data only for the rest of the already running month is most probably to be regarded as misleading at the best.
Consumers are as far as I know not obligated to investigate in depth the promises made by companies although they are of course well advised to do this.

That's what happens when you have a bunch of techies trying to run a business. It's really simple to communicate this properly and at times it almost feels like AH got sucked into using MTN's underhanded tactics nowadays.

No, that email was only additional communication. It was a promotional offer, and everyone who signed up accepted it as such. The expiry date was set from the beginning, and even extended at times. You agreed to this when signing up. Pleading ignorance now is disingenuous.

The promotional double data is calculated pro rata, just like all other data sold by Afrihost. It is their promotion and the terms of this promotion were determined by them. They decided to calculate double data pro rata. Anyone signing up could/can clearly see this before completing the purchase. I'm struggling to understand your issue with this.

I agree, it is really simple, which is why they managed so well to communicate this properly.

When signing up, you agreed to the following clause:

"Mobile Two packages will get an additional Two GB of free Anytime data on top of the normal Two GBs until 31 December 2014, at which point the offer will be revised or extended."

Sent them a mail yesterday cancelling my account. Didn't even know they're stopping the double data. Just can't keep on battling with MTN's crappy signal.

Got a mail with next month's invoice today. Sent another mail cancelling. Admin guys are probably on holiday already. :D

The proper way to cancel (in the sense that it does not require an Afrihost employee to do anything) is to log into your clientzone and cancel your account there.

Am I missing something
I have three double deal sims with AH.

For some odd reason all my simms reached their capps in a day of each other.
When I topped up it was only single and not double data as it was previously.

As far as I understood the deal was that if we signed up on the promo day we would not loose this feature if the promo stopped?
But even though the promo only ends at 31 Dec it is already in the top up that you only can topup with single and not double data as what we signed up for.

Should my topup not also still contain the double deal as I signed up for the deal?

I still received double data at the beginning of the month.

2-for-1 Top Ups are different to the Double Data assigned to your Mobile Data account. At the moment 2-for-1 Top Ups are available at random intervals as chosen by our Directors, Plus+ allows you to activate permanent 2-for-1 Top Ups for a specific account.
