Afrihost Capped ADSL Feedback (MTN) - New beginning

8 days and counting and not a single call from either Telkom or Afrihost. When Telkom managed my line, the longest I ever waited for a Telkom techie was 4 days. If you are a member of the public trying to decide on an ISP and reading this, be warned. Not even posting a complaint to their CEO on twitter has delivered any kind of urgency.

Hi Deezy, I'm sorry to hear about your outstanding issue. :( I can see your details in our Twitter inbox and we have escalated the matter with Telkom. I shall follow up with them again and we'll get your matter resolved as soon as possible.

Day 11 and still not a single response or update despite Afrimans constant reassurances. Support line doesn't even reply anymore. Beyond f@@@@ pathetic! Seriously!

Not sounding cool at all! :( It looks like there is a very high workload in your area, but I'll do my best to prioritize your issue with Telkom.

super slow on Afrihost today. So bad that I thought my net had been cut off. on an 8mb line, the check my line tool says all is well-within limits for great service...tracert looks good. Not sure what's up :/

Hello Afrihost

It has been a year since my greedy hands laid claim to #DataSteal. If i recall it should be valid for 12 months, that being said I got around a month left and 160gb left.

It has been a good ride, but you are the proverbial girlfriend that has just broken up with me.
I find myself in a world of ISP fishes not being able to get what i initially had :D XD
The awesome mix of data vs period and being able to use it whenever i wanted.

Eish its been a good ride, I just find myself with a slap of reality check XD

Did i sign a prenup? lol

That looks very much like an exchange or line problem.
What happens when you ping bras.afrihost.com

Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:

so now it's 100% fine and getting full speed. I had someone check the line once and they noted it's an Afrihost issue as the exchange had a surplus of capacity (like 50MB/s and peak consumption was 25ish). The line stats check out on afrihost's test thing... and like i said on other providers it's fine and even if i switch to afrigreen it's perfect
