Afrihost Capped ADSL Feedback (MTN) - New beginning

Some of my account work others dont work seems to me like an afrihost problem created 2 new account and it does not show in my client zone either.

I suppose this is why Afrihost does not use Afrigreen as Failover or a operational backup

Its two separate networks which require you; the user; to MOVE your account, and not just switch over to another backup DSL network, and back again; when Afrihost/MTN fails and you need DSL access.

For the moment Users with AfriGreen accounts will have their Afrihost accounts remain active and working. We will only start locking the accounts once we commence the full roll-out all users will be switched over to the new network.

AfriGreen does not have the capacity yet for us to move our entire Clientbase over to it as a back-up option.

tracert still shows a few timeouts on the early hops within mtn routing to anything international - but getting better than an hour ago.

The international link on MTN was down temporarily, but service has been restored now.

What sort of products did you order?

Can also confirm both Business Uncapped and Capped Unshaped working in CT

So far so good. Afri,u guys should really look into, getting the network updates on par, that way we can know right away, and a lot of people don't MYBB to know whats going on

I'm not even able to hit 10Mb/s on a 40Mb/s VDSL business uncapped unshaped solution

Hi Afripeople
I was sent login details for Afrigreen which I was using. When I try to login to the backend of my website I am blocked as it recognises the IP address as American IP which is blocked from login. I tried your help desk and they said I don't host the website with Afrihost. This was an adsl query so I am as confused as they are.

What I want to know is can you fix the the Afrigreen to be recognised as an SA address if not can I go back to the normal Afrihost login

You can still use your normal AH account.
Switch between mine every now and then if the one gives trouble.

Thanks this help desk is great.

The AfriGreen IPs are from a brand new range, so the Geo-Location in some cases is not set correctly. We've had the IPs assigned to the correct region with most of the Geo-Location vendors, but some of the smaller and custom location services may not yet have updated their systems.

Can I ask that you report this via the ClientZone, under your Connectivity tab, your AfriGreen account, then by selecting Report Issue.

We will need a bit of additional information, so if you can let us know which hosting company you are using, as well as your backend software, we can get this sorted ASAP.
