Definitely looking pretty horrible there. From your posts after this, definitely looks like latency on our side. Might have been high demand on the network.

Our tests on the new network show that we see normal latency even when demand is very high, so we're confident that we'll be able to deliver a consistently good experience.

Are capped accounts shaped when downloading torrents?

Because im getting full speed (10mbps) on WebAfrica and 0.5 mbps on Afrihost.

Definitely not. We can sometimes see poor throughput in general when the network is under heavy demand, which can affect P2P.

My account is not logging in all day. Wife was home sick and had no interwebs. Please help. Still would not login now.

Evening!

Can you please send me a PM with your ADSL Username ASAP so that I can look into this!

I wish this topic never had brackets in it so my email client could come straight here:

Not sure I follow with the brackets. What we say here on threads is definitely public, so anyone is welcome to share :) Only PM's are private.

Lol... basically whenever someone makes a post I get an email notifying me of such from mybb.
However if there is a bracket '()' in the url, it breaks the url and I get sent to the very first post.
This becomes awkward when searching for something in a topic.

See here for an example :)

Ah, I see what you mean! We didn't start this thread, so will keep that in mind if this thread ever gets continued. I don't think I can rename the thread though - but we should actually start a new thread for the new network anyway :)

Cape Town down? No 35 in the call queue. ..

We're told that it looks like an authentication problem in the South. The team are working on this with MTN right now to get everything back up.

If you have an AfriGreen account, you should be able to get online with that for now :(

Yes, my standard account broke, switched to Green and it worked fine again

It's authenticating, just no throughput :-)

POC account running perfectly though!

The entire Southern region is down, and Afrihost is calling it "medium impact" and "injured but okay". Gotta lol.

We've updated to High Impact, since it now also included Mobile. Remember that it's overall national impact to services, not from an individual client perspective.

I must say the last 2 days is the slowest torrent downloads I've had with Afrihost (Afrigreen) in nearly 2 years and I have around 50 seeders per download and I'm lucky if I get 10 Kb/sec, something is horribly wrong, as I've never had anything like this before :(

:(

Some services definitely aren't looking good. Some good news, the production roll-out of the Afrigreen network is very very close.
