It looks like we had to start our billing run a day early to accommodate the weekend in the middle of everything.

I would want to check on the changes made. If they simply credited August's fee, you would still receive an invoice but not actually be debited as the credit offsets the invoice.

Can you please PM me? Should be easy to clear up for you :)

PM sent

So i downgraded all my accounts to 1gb data accounts yet on my new invoice I'm charged R299? The downgrade was done on the 24th

Sorry about that :(
Did ClientZone confirmed that the downgrade would take affect and month end for July or August?

Last week Friday(24/07/2015), I changed my account to 10GB but I now I am being billed for my original 50GB account and my 10GB account. Why ??????
This is Ridiculous.
I did send an e-mail to [email protected] but no reply so far.
it seems that Afrihost is really trying hard to loose subscribers.

Ok, so the accounts department has credited my invoice. They also confirmed that the debit order will not be going of from my account.

So I have a 4mb line, capped. Any reasons why Twitch can't stream without stuttering even on Low (360p?) but YouTube Livestream can stream at 480p, even 720p if it wasn't 60fps, without any problems at all?

I rarely am able to stream Twitch without issues, but if YouTube is working so well why is Twitch lagging behind? Even my netgraph looks inconsitent for Twitch but YouTube you can actually see it's using the line to its full potential.

Is this a software issue (Flash vs HTML5)? Or is Twitch being throttled/put in low priority? Or maybe DNS issues? I'm just throwing words around but I'm really curious as to why there's this massive discrepancy.

We definitely don't throttle/ shape streaming or Twitch itself. To be perfectly honest though, we've seen very mixed results from the sites itself - including our own tests. From what I've personally seen, Twitch is extremely bandwidth heavy.

I also think constant buffering on the site is something that every user has seen - including international users.

Have you tried Afrigreen to see if the experience is any better though? Which DNS servers are you currently using?

Try a test account from an ISP that has an IS backbone to compare.

Just btw torrents have been running slowly in the evenings (except for weekends) South of Cape Town. It doesn't really affect me since I just schedule them accordingly; just letting you know if it helps with the upgrades.

Yes and No. :)

Is this currently on our @afrihost.co.za network or on one of our new @afrigreen test accounts?

God help you if you want to get Windows 10 on Afrihost.

50KB/s or approximately 200th of my line speed
