I think this must be something to do with a local Telkom routing. I know roadcat has logged with Telkom - wonder if there has been any progress on this?

Yes, Telkom are looking into this. I understand it is to do with the MSAN, and has happened before, when they first implemented them.

Was sorted out this morning. There was an "error" which caused my bundle discount not to reflect. I wonder how many other clients also have this error but haven't noticed it.

My bundle is also not reflecting, think I have gotten "Lost in Space" here, between applying for line/bundle and actually getting it the pricing all changed.

Cant get any resolution at all:(

I'm on the 10mbps 75GB capped bundle, wanted to know how the new capped bundles prices will affect me?

You'll be receiving a mail from Gian very shortly - but the idea is that we're going to standardise the value so that bundle clients get the same kind of benefit in terms of double data.

Thanks for the feedback. Please do keep me updated, I would love to know what actually happened here :(

@AfriMan or whoever here is the results from all my tests on an "unshaped" capped 75GB account. Why is it so bad?

Can't seem to spot anything out of the ordinary here. Also remember that even if shaping was applied (which it isn't on our Capped/ Business Uncapped accounts) it doesn't affect latency.

What's all slow on your end?

As the post suggests the speed I am getting on a 2 meg account is ridiculous. I can't do anything on international sites though local sites also take quite long...I have reset the port and everything, there is also no congestion on the exchange and other ISP accounts are working fine so I don't see the line at fault.

Could you PM me your info so I can see if I can spot anything on my end?

In my router setting it shows that my downstream conection speed is 3072 kbps. I am on a 4 meg line.
Is this correct?

Post your full stats. Generally Telkom will drop your speed if the line is unstable or too far away from the exchange.

My line is flying today!!

In the 7 years I've had ADSL on this line I haven't seen speed like I've seen all day today!!

Funny, mine seems to be the same, even my son commented on it this evening. And today is my last day with AH

Sounds like you've been dropped to 3Mbps profile. PM me and I should be able to set you back onto 4096kbps.
