Can you please test your speed and latency again. If it's still in the tank, would you mind posting a traceroute to Afrihost.com so that I can see where the issue is originating.

I have created a support ticket with the tracert. Ticket ID: XKJ-824-63431

Can't get page to load. Internet too slow. It's a smart way to get people who make use of other ISPs to enter your competitions though. :p

I did just that... and scooped 250GB Data right now from their Vine gif thing in their Twitter #DataSteal.

Yay...

I think... 250GB might expire before I can actually use it at these current speeds tho'.

I have been a loyal AH client for MANY years and as I don't like Twitter or Facebook I am excluded? WTF!! Surely this should be available to all AH clients FIRST and should be announced on Client Zone (that you are sooo proud of). Better still in a newsletter. BTW what has happened to the regular newsletters we were promised. The last one I received was to crow about AH being voted ISP of the year. Also who decides on the pool of voters because nobody contacted me to vote.

There was a preview in the previous newsletter about our coming competitions, we also have a link posted on our homepage with all of the competitions. As far as I am aware we do still send out monthly newsletters, although they may not be sent out at the same time each month.

The pool of voters for the MyBroadband Awards is any user who is subscribed to the MyBB newsletter, if you are subscribed you should receive a voting form.

Things have just gotten worse!

Not sure why you're not clued up on this, but many people in JHB are getting 0.2mp/s throughput at the moment. The last 3 pages of posts are indicating exactly that on this thread. On my 10mb/s line I'm currently only getting 0.3 mb/s. The situation currently is way worse than it was before the upgrades.

Do any of our posts even register?
.

I'm trying to complete a speedtest but it's been busy now for a long time. Showing 0.04 mb/s. I think it's much worse that Afrihost realises. This is in Boskruin.

I am glad you managed to snag a 250GB account!

The data is valid for a full year from the date of redemption, so I certainly hope you have a chance to use it!

Just tested on another clients site in Fairlands and the situation is the same. How long is this going to take to repair as they must know what the problem is by now? Some technical feedback about what the issue actually is would be great.

Guys, just a quick update, we are pushing through a system update for our network management software, you will probably experience a serious drop in speeds and jump in latency over the next few minutes. This is only temporary and will improve.

Would we notice a difference?

/just kidding

Holding thumbs it works.

I didn't think performance could get worse than what is was yesterday, but alas, I was wrong. Running at around 8% of max line speed this morning.

And as I'm typing this it suddenly spikes to 100%... Now hovering around 70%-95%...

Empty promises

So all good here?

:)

Definitely NOT!!

I'm still only getting 2.32 Mbp on my line - Seriously slow.
According to your social media account this is what they said: "Our team is still working on addressing the problem. We don't have an ETA on when speeds will return to normal again"

WTF .... It's been like this for months now???

All I get is empty promises that it is going to be fixed?? WHEN?

Well, that is interesting... Not sure how you managed to reach that upload speed, but your download does not appear to be affected as badly as some our other clients.

I'm not surprised seeing as he is not on the same network as the rest of us :)
