I also have the twitch streaming problems mentioned by a few people, my http downloads are also in the 20kb/s - 50kb/s range. I contacted Afrihost support and they have labeled it exchange congestion with only 18% port availability at the exchange.

They also advised me that I should downgrade from 10mb/s to 8mb/s to stabilise the line, clearly did not help. Speedtest shows nothing wrong on my 8mb/s capped account.

Something sounds off... Which DNS are you using at the moment?

Currently just auto assigned, I did try Google DNS but no difference.

That doesn't sound cool at all! Were you seeing high latency? Slow speeds? Did you run any tests for me to have a look at?

All of the above, i was getting 4k ping to Blizzard eu service and couldnt stream youtube. I switched to telkom and everything was fine, to lazy to switch back and get test. I will test tonight and get tests if the problem still persists.

Haven't spent enough time on Twitch today to do any testing.

I have tried livestreamer before and it didn't change the performance at all,
once I get this program installed I'll give it a go.

Can recommend that streamlink.

Livestreamer did nothing for me too but for the first time in 2 year (seriously) I can watch twitch on source with no buffering.

AH performance has been abysmal.
My last posts on performance incl. testing both AH and SAIX accounts haven't been addressed.
YouTube is streaming at 1693Kbps - a far cry from the 18000Kbps it's capable of.
AH account - terrible -
SAIX Test account - perfect -

NB: YouTube is just one example. AH is lagging across the board when compared with the SAIX account.

Which DNS Servers are you using at the moment?

When you start to see the latency increase in-game again, could you please ping bras.afrihost.com.

That will give us a better idea of where the latency is coming from?

Latency above 300 again tonight. I did ping bras.afrihost.com and there was no glaring issue came back with 20ms every time.

Seems to be resolved now, earlier I kept getting dns error after error, auto settings.

This doesn't tell us much, in fact it's all positive, so it's hard to determine where you are having an issue or how we could go about replicating this

That seems pretty average. We usually like to see BRAS latency close to or below 10ms, but this doesn't seem to bad.

Interesting to note that Afrihost has stopped responding to my comparative AH and SAIX test account posts. I wonder why?!?! Hitting to close to home perhaps. *shrug*

That seems pretty average. We usually like to see BRAS latency close to or below 10ms, but this doesn't seem to bad.

I am then at a loss as most EU based game servers my latency is horrible as I tested Diablo as well last night and same thing. When I test my line SNR is a little low.
