Afrihost Capped DSL Feedback

Hi, please look at tickets #MHR-244-42839 and #GYP-288-13561

My 10MB Telkom line syncs at 5MB, I reported it a few weeks ago and AH opened a ticket with Telkom.

Today, Telkom closed the fault and marked it as resolved.

I rebooted the router and it still syncs at 5mb. Fed up.

Here are the current stats.

EDIT: This morning I'm also having intermittent disconnects the whole f-ing time

International speeds are crap this afternoon.

Noticed that sites are loading soooooo slowly and did some speed tests. Anything not local you get a max speed of 2.5-3mbps on my 10mb/s line, what's the point of having a fast line then?

browsing has been crap since sunday looks like some serious shaping or an ipc problem again
well at least it worked for longer than 3 days this time round

Tried to cancel my line through the Client Zone but that doesn't even work. Afrihost also didn't respond on any queries since yesterday. Useless.

Finally got someone from the support team to process my line cancellation but now it will only be cancelled on 30 Nov - thats almost 2 months still.

Is there anyone knowledgeable at AH who can expedite the cancellation (and migration back to telkom)? #FQJ-270-96181

That doesn't sound good. :( Are you seeing high latency? Can you send me a traceroute to an affected site?

It shouldn't take two months. :( Drop me a PM so we can discuss your account a little more openly.

Nothing wrong my end. :)
