Most of the requirements are gone when you just directly connect to the ONT?

Hi

Can you message Afrigirl and me the ticket reference so we can look into the issue for you? FNO's do no accept speedtests done over wifi no matter which ISP you use. It's not an Afrihost requirement.

I've sent countless traceroutes and speedtests since last year November. It worked fine for 2 months and started giving problems again. They just want more and more with every speedtest and then the tickets just end up being "Auto Closed because there was no response or action from Metrofibre"

On a different note: What's the migration process like when going over to Cool Ideas?

How new are you to the internet? Every FNO requires you to run tests to diagnose an issue, it is part of their agreements with ISPs. No way of getting around it. If the ISP does not submit tests to the FNO when opening up an issue, they reserve the right to ignore the issue. Tests comes from the client

Like I said: I've sent countless Speedtests and Traceroutes (a Traceroute can only be done on a PC.) So I've sent them multiple speedtests from a PC with no results and now they're asking me to send speedtests with a fresh software install and they eant the specs of the PC with the speedtest.

That is a reasonable ask from them, they don't want to have to replace an ONT or fibre line cause your PC specs or something on your side is causing the issue, as it is their money

Nothing runs faster than 10MB, started 2 months ago, from being stellar to putrid. Time to move on.

Everything worked perfectly, ordered maybe 3rd Q of last year.
Then outa the blue, just lemons.

Heres a Steam download from a few minutes ago. A blistering 12MB/sec on a 1 GB R1500/pm line

Hi

Please can you double-check your cables.

You ONT to WAN or Router LAN to PC is currently limiting your speed to 10M or 100M. This usually happens when there are high losses on the cable or it's faulty.

Happily do that. The cables were new and all working fine. I will happily give it a go and replace every single cable, which is 2, from the box to the router and to the pc.. Hope it works
It used to run just peachy though, and some days a speed test runs 90+MB/s but everything else is slow at the same time?

I has a similar issue - getting 10Mb instead of 100. My NIC (network card) was the culprit - a rather large lizard died and got fused to the mainboard.
