Just got an email from Afrihost to remind me to cancel the R1 promotion if I do not want to continue with it. Not sure how many companies would do that...
 
That is impressive. I actually enjoyed the R1 experience very much zbrodnia. I'd move over in an instant if they had a Steam server that I could freezone from...

I have cancelled my R1 account although it still shows as cancellation pending. Hope it will be cancelled by 24 Aug.

I did the same, As far as i know, the account will still work till 31-08-2011 - 23.59.59pm.

But consider it cancelled :)
 
Yeah I also appreciated the notice. I'm probably going to cancel, as it's pointless to pay for an uncapped account + RedAfrica (used the uncapped after capping my RedAfrica account), but will definitely take out a capped package with AH as a backup option.
 
Yea I also got the mail, very cool of them to send a courtesy reminder.
Already cancelled on the 12th though as the uncapped I was using was throttled to literal 8kbps download speeds. Thats the same speed as dialup...
