Wow, I took a free 1GB Axxess account to try them out. A work related download that would take a few hours for 300MB +/- via Afrihost is flying along and at least half line speed (2mbps). Though granted, this could be because I am downloading the file on a Saturday as opposed to a week night.

Well, they both use MTN... but employ completely different network "management."

Same people I'm afraid. I do notice slightly better performance when I am on my Axxess account, but its still rubbish. Just waiting for Vox to process my 7 page account application and then I'll be done with "both" companies.
