Afrihost Issue (New Fibre Installation)

Soooo we ordered Fibre from Afrihost two weeks ago and there’s an issue where Vumatel tells them we have an existing order with another ISP, but we don’t because we ordered the fibre package 3 weeks after it became available in the area. The only thing Afrihost does is tell us that “We waiting” and this is after we’ve payed the monthly fee and we are halfway through the month, never mind the irritation of waiting all this time.

Did someone else in your household perhaps place another order with another ISP perchance? Vuma should be able to tell you who the other ISP is

The Vumatel system is designed to only allow 1 order per and active service per address. As an ISP we can't see who placed the other on the address unless it was us.

I can have a look and see what is happening. Can you send me a pm with your clientzone email so I can have a look at what has been done and see if we can find a solution?

No, there’s only 4 of us and we all decided on Afrihost. I’m also the only person in the house that can purchase it.

Thanks for getting in touch. Definitely someone placed an order with another ISP for your address. Vumatel has confirmed the VC order number. I will do some dinging in the morning to get the ISP so I can find out who that is to get the order rejected or premises cleared.
