As a general rule, I keep my line with Telkom.
It avoids all the hassle of moving it when you change ISP or have problems. You don't get bounced from Telkom to your ISP and from your ISP to Telkom.
Agreed, if its only a few rands you would be saving. But for example, on the Afrihost 4MB/s business bundle, you save over R200pm by moving. I guess it all depends whether R200pm tips the scales. Also on Afrihost, you can reset your port, test and tweak your line from the Client portal. And while it used to be that you could get 24/7 support from Telkom, this is no longer the case.
