Morning All

I can see that a few people picked up on the Mobile Outage - we did update the network status to reflect.

The issue should be over and you should be back up again :)

Afriman

Please help.

When I try to access an app called "Clash Royale" on my afrihost apn it has a huge delay and the app thinks my connection went offline althought all my other internet services work. If I use my default mymtn apn everything works perfectly in the app. So it must be something on your apn...

I have confirmed with a work mate of mine and his apn is doing exactly the same....

Hope to hear from you soon

Our APN should only be for accounting purposes, the service should be exactly the same as using the MTN network directly.

Was this a once off test or has it done this consistently?

Just tested again. MTN fine but afrihost meh....

I can't imagine what could be different. Have you checked the APN settings on your device to see if there are any differences in the security settings? Otherwise, try deleting the APN and then cloning and renaming your APN to the Afrihost settings.

Hi Afriman

I don't know why its happening, but I tried your suggestions and it still the same. The only difference being.the one apn is mymtn and the other afrihost... as soon as I use afrihost the application has connection issues but when I use mymtn everything is 100%

We'll have to do some testing with you to figure that out - but technically they should be identical. Unless you're not getting LTE on the Afrihost SIM, and the speeds are not as good on 3G - just shooting blind here :(

As far as I know I get LTE on both... Please let me know what you need for the tests

Can anyone summarize the rules around pausing and un-pausing an account?

But it offers Pause as an option in the app and in clientzone.

Also, I found this post from 2014. Have you changed it since then so that pause is no longer an option?

Urgh, sorry about that dude.
Was very confused yesterday - as long as ClientZone shows the pause functionality you can pause the account.

It follows the same rules around cancellations, so pause before the 23rd :)

How about un-pause, can it be mid month and pro rata? When can you click it and when does it restart?

Afrihost, it's been a while since you had a good market shakeup. How about 100GB for R900 p/m? XBox One games are very large these days and the little data that comes with LTE just isn't enough for today's demanding software.

Please? :)
