Afrihost Mobile Feedback

Hey guys,

So a few days ago I ported over to an E-Sim on my iPhone 13 to AirMobile, but I can't seem to use the mobile data or phone out? But I can receive calls.

I've restarted my phone, made sure my APN settings were typed properly with no extra spaces as well. I received the SMS from Afrihost saying my line is activated and everything should be good to go but as soon as I leave my house I get no connectivity.

It shows I have full bar connectivity but it won't even load the AirMobile app if I'm on mobile data. I do have Data and airtime but nothing seems to be working? Anyone else maybe have the same issue and knows a fix?

What APN are you using?

For AirMobile it is ws.afrihost.mvno

For Legacy its just afrihost

Also, if your phone supports dual SIM make sure that it is set a primary for calls and data.

What APN are you using?

For AirMobile it is ws.afrihost.mvno

For Legacy its just afrihost

I'm using the suggested one, ws.air.mvno

I tried the afrihost one now but didn't work either. Thanks tho man
 
Any plans to offer number linking for weareable devices so your watch and phone has the same number?
 
I’m having a problem reactivating my AirMobile eSIM on a new iPhone 16 Pro. I keep getting the message "Unable to Activate eSIM. Your eSIM could not be activated. Contact MTN for assistance." Is it possible that the iPhone 16 is not supported by AirMobile? Has anyone successfully activated an eSIM on an iPhone 16?
 
Same problem, iPhone 16 Pro. Afrihost told me yesterday that the iPhone 16 is not yet supported.. unknown timeline apparently... now I am without old eSim access too :cautious: @Afrigirl please enlighten us

Did you do a Sim swap so you get a new QR code?

MTN seems to have an issue with moving eSIMs between devices. This is not Afrihost Air Mobile only who has this problem.

No, not a SIM swap. I initially tried to transfer the eSIM as per the Apple instructions, but that didn't work. Then I tried using the original QR code as per Air Mobile instructions, but that also didn't work.
I am now wondering if I should just add a new eSIM and transfer my existing data, as I don't use the number attached to my old eSIM.

You will need to request a SIM swap. Unfortunately, our QR code cannot be reused for now.
Send the request to [email protected] with your ID and a paper with today's date. Share the ticket ID, and I will process the SIM Swap.

However, we have not tested the iPhone 16 yet, so it may not be supported yet.

@Afrigirl I tried what I thought was a quick SIM card swap from an iPhone 10 to an iPhone 11 only for the SIM card to say no service. Contacted your WhatsApp help who says that the SIM card is faulty (for some odd reason). Instead of waiting for a new one to be delivered i emailed support asking if I can just get it converted to an esim so I can get up and running today still but no response yet. Please could you expedite this for me. I currently have a non working phone. My Afrihost reference is #FEH-202-47027
