Afrihost Mobile Feedback

Well I have contacted Afrihost last month (June) and this month (July) and they have not manually performed the rollover in either month. I even received one response that my plan does not have rollover.

Wow, the fact that you have to request a roll-over manually from Afrihost every month is frustrating just thinking about it.

Hey mibman

It is true that fibre data does not roll over however, we are changing this starting from the next billing run your data will roll over. :)

He won't have to manually request the rollover any longer. :giggle:

I mentioned Mobile Data not Fibre Data in my original posts. They are still not providing any rollover of mobile data. Not even manually. I wonder what ICASA would say ?

It is true that our mobile data does not roll over yet, but we are working to fix this issue just like we did with fibre.

Hi Chingha, my apologies for the late response to your message. I may need your details to look into your profile and see what went wrong here. Please can you send me a PM, and I will get onto this for you as soon as possible.

@AfriFella
Does afrihost not have break out in CPT for MTN LTE mobile data?

I have a sim down there, which is routing traffic to JHB from CPT first, then down to Durban, causing unnecessary jitter.

Is there no direct path from CPT to DBN?

This would be from the Afrihost network to the IS network.

Or does Afrihost not peer with IS in CPT?
Seems to only be peering in JHB to the IS network.

This is definitely something that we would need to take a look into and see if we can change or not, I'd be happy to get the ball rolling. Can you please run a traceroute to the server that you are trying to connect to as well as more common sites like Afrihost.com or mybroadband.co.za and send the results to [email protected]. Once this is done please send me the ticket ID and I will get our NOC team to have a look.

@AfriGuy ,@Afrigirl ,@AfriNatic ,@AfriFella

I currently have the following issue with Afrihost Fixed lte on CellC

All internet traffic runs fast except streaming services. Youtube and Netflix basically runs at below 1Mb. I have tried whatsapp support and phoning in, but no one seems able to assist. Could one of the reps here perhaps assist me.

Hey gloryboy
I am so sorry that your experience on fixed LTE is poor. Please drop me a PM with your clientzone username and street address so I can investigate this.
