Once in a while:

Download Speed: 12793 kbps (1599.1 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 2871 kbps (358.9 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 50 ms

When I upgrade to an LTE enabled phone (maybe i5) do I need to call in to get my Afrihost mobile sim LTE activated?

Call, mail or drop me a line here :) We can have the SIM provisioned for LTE for you.

Eish... Just read the last couple of posts and I'm a sad Panda... Reps, anything going on in the North Riding area? I usually get between 2,3Mb and 2,8Mb down but since yesterday the best I can do is 240Kb. Is the cruelty 'cos of something I said?

I've noticed a change at work, like they've throttled the tower uploads or something. Not getting above 8Mbps now. Yes, that's great and all but 17Mbps is better no?

I've been watching others' results and it seems like LTE in ZA is being defined as a 40Mbps download and 8Mbps upload service. (?)

Okay, seems I was wrong. The upload speeds are flying again.

Geez Louise!
Great speeds there man!
Now a larger capped/uncapped product would make that even better!

Honestly for a smart phone 10GB pm feels uncapped! For home, sure - I would like a 50GB and 100GB product.

Nice! Ping is a bit high though.

Would you mind using the image link from Speedtest and then wrapping your links in [*IMG]link[*/IMG] tags please? Just remove the asterisk when using.

Hi ww, better Like this?, looks the same from my side.

You need to click on the little picture icon to get an image link. The reason why your image is broken is because you're linking a URL not an image.

Here is your result:

Thought i'd share my 8ta speed this morning. Giving MTN & Afrihost a rest today!

I turned off WiFi due to persistent issues with Whatsapp while connected to Telkom Mobile LTE. Again, this is free signal to my phone, without an antenna. I really do need to get hold of a MTN F@stlink B593 and compare MTN LTE with antennas.
