IT is straight HSDPA.

Like I would Speedtest anything but LTE? :p (All my results are of course using the afrihost APN, not any type of MiFi device)

Here's a random 3G test I did yesterday while toggling between LTE and 3G due to APN errors - Wilrokrans Shopping Centre, Helderkruin, West Rand:

Even the 3G tests are solid. Lucky to have LTE :(
 
I've noticed a change at work, like they've throttled the tower uploads or something. Not getting above 8Mbps now. Yes, that's great and all but 17Mbps is better no?

I've been watching others' results and it seems like LTE in ZA is being defined as a 40Mbps download and 8Mbps upload service. (?)

Now a larger capped/uncapped product would make that even better!

Pretty darned impressive for out in the rural area. No tower in sight which is interesting with such a great result.

Edit: Ah wait, there it is - above a settlement. :D Afrihost should come and advertise here because the locals have GREAT MTN 3G.

Insane speeds. When I upgraded to my I5 I don't think they gave me an LTE sim
