Feedback threads
Im sure people who have had trouble in the past can make threir own treads to "warn" customers but to hijack a feedback thread is unacceptable

Once again, I'm a customer until the 30th of September because that's up until when my account is paid for. I haven't seen ex customers complaining here, only current customers. So please stop trying to shut feedback down.

Unless you're willing to convince AH to refund my money for this poor service, in which case I'll gladly GTFO.

I was not referring to you, was some older customers from yesterday , don't want to mention names in the interest of not derailing the thread further

Ok, it seems Afrihost accounts department is too useless to answer a simple question. Do any of you guys know what the VC number is they want from me when verifying my account? I signed up for a debit order. I have no such number, at all, anywhere.

If you don't have a prior debit order having been processed you won't find it. They give instructions in the Clientzone if you go to the billing section.

When I tune Afrihost's useless streaming every night, and answer prospective customers' questions about AH performance, it's because I currently have a 1.2TB backup Afrihost account and it performs like crap.

Thanks Bryn, AfriGuy just PM'd me the relevant info also. Although I think he's got more important things to attend to than doing their accounts departments job.

My Afrihost account has been working like a dream since the move from MTN.A few hiccups but overall very happy. Can't believe the latest promotion.Have 500GB of roll-over data + 900GB on VOX account.I honestly can't cope with all this data :p

Zoopy, perhaps we can try to assist? I've received help from other guys on this thread.

Let's first see where exactly is the problem. What's your ping to bras.afrihost.com, trace route to Afrihost.com, ping to BBC.co.uk? And what issues are you experiencing and to which sites?

We can try that's of course if it's fine with you.

Replying to my own post here with some further calculations and a Logical conclusion:

Some further calculations show that the data used on the detailed data graph is:

64.02GB + 3.42GB up = 67.44GB

The Billable data used is:

30GB - 26.12GB = 3.88GB

To calculate actual free data I subtract the billable data from the total data used, I then get:

67.44GB - 3.88GB = 63.56GB

It is very suspicious that:

63.56 x 2 = 127.12GB

Surprisingly close to the 127.03GB reported at Free-Time data.

Conclusion.

Free Time data use is being Doubled, probably as a result of the data allocated being doubled.

This could be a serious problem if the Free Time falls away and we get double our actual use deducted from our double data, effectively nullifying it.

AfriGuy has escalated the problem to the correct team, thanks :)

Cheers
Chris

I reported it to them 6 months ago that night time usage is showing double - they said it's just me, or only a few people affected, oh well....

Ok Thanks, I will report a fault with Hewlett Packard then as it is obviously my calculator paying up and not the Client Zone :)

WA have their HQ in Cape Town, am I correct? Wouldn't it then be advisable for the people in the southern region to have their ISP account with WA rather? Just asking.

Interesting observation, and I have never had any issues, but I think WA Marketing department need the heads up on that one not the AH users. That said, if WA had a promo next time VOX and AH drop the Ball in the western cape they could pick up a lot of local customers.

They are based in Woodstock, opposite the Clicks/Musica Head Office

Who chooses an ISP based on the city they're based in?!
