Ah, I'm afraid you'll be affected by the current issues

speeds are not that great in cape town either specially for after 12
Where abouts are you based? We're seeing some issues on the North IPC atm.
Oh that's why my Netflix stream quality kept dropping. but when was it fixed though?, I still had some minor issues last night between 8 and 11 (time I went to bed

I do have one question though, why is your website being routed via London?

My international latency is better

got a line fault open due to poor line stats though, my SNR is at 6dB and disconnects a lot at night
Nice to notice the "faster than x of south africa" has gone down, when I first got 10Mbps it was faster than ~91% of South Africa (3 years ago?).

lol well considering I'm nearly 2000km from your location (I'm living in Hazyview just outside Kruger national park), surely you would have a slightly better international ping![]()
LaraC has better ping than I do though, around 15ms less and she lives in the Eastern Cape.
So just putting this out there as proof for later when ASSIA starts messing me around again.again.
Currently on a 10 MB line
Modem shows current upstream as 1011, downstream 8015.
SNR upstream 6.4, downstream 6.1
Atenuation upstream 17.7, downstream 31.4
Download Speed: 6241 kbps (780.1 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 840 kbps (105 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 41 ms
Jitter: 14 ms

Download not great but happy with the rest.
Those SNR stats look pretty close to unstable. I'm sure ASSIA will take care of that shortly![]()
I know, when I was on a 8 MB line ASSIA dropped my line sync to 5600, this going up to 10 MB is only a experiment.
I'll be happy with a 8 MB line and if I get decent speeds with it, but even though my SNR on the 8 MB line was much more stable, ASSIA still dropped me to 5 MB.
I could be wrong, but that would indicate a line fault, had the same issue, turns out it was a 15m segment connecting from the pole to my connection box inside the house, which had interference/crosstalk, they replaced it and bobs your uncle it stabilized. ASSIA would pick that up and drop your line..Very hard to diagnose something like that, unless you point out to the telkom tech where all your joints are located.
