You getting 14mbps on a 20mbps line? Pretty okay that. I normally get around there, and on a good day around 17mbps. Sometimes i also fall down to 10 and sometimes below 10mbps.
I'm with you man.

I've always wondered myself why my 20mb line could never do above 14mb internationally on speedtests but then again I've never figured out why I can't do twitch on source for over a year now.
After a while you just get over it and roll with "South African Internet" as the answer.
Hi Afrihost, I was wondering about your new fibre packages. If I were to take the 20Mbps home package which obviously can be throttled after a certain amount of data used, which I think is about 200gb. I just want to know, how slow can the line be throttled?
Just checking in AfriGenie, have you contacted the Network guys regarding Armored Warfare?
Does this have to do with international breakout links? If so, this will apply to all ISPs in SA.
I'm okay with best effort service, but "best effort" implies as close to best as possible, i.e. it should be closer to 20Mbps than 10Mbps...
Anyway, it's not too noticeable, the bigger issue is Twitch streaming. AfriGenie suggested checking out Tardsplaya so I'll give that a shot.
I've been using Twitch Buffering Fix chrome extension which lets you switch between servers, though nothing seems to help after 6PM.
Have there been any ADSL issues lately in the Eden area?
Over the last 2 days normally in the late afternoon/evening the Internet has become intermittently unusable?
Capped account, dns errors, Internet not responding/very slow. What sort of problems are you experiencing in the evening? Latency? Poor speeds? What kind of account do you have with us?
