Afrihost New Network Feedback - Part 2

Yo Afrifella, I asked AfriGenie earlier today regarding a shaping profile for a game (Armored Warfare). He said he'd get back to me when the team are able to update the profile. My question is, how long does something like this usually take? A day, a week?

This is something that has to be logged and monitored by our Network Team. I'll have to follow up with Genie and our Team directly regarding this and see what progress has been made. Sorry about the delay here. :(

I don't know how long you guys keep your tickets for but a few months ago I did that very thing with your network engineers back in November. Sat on the phone and spoke with them for a few hours testing out the profile. :erm:

Hopefully you guys can get this done quickly :(

EDIT: If this helps, I tried again at 9:35PM and the ping and packet loss is fine. A few hours earlier it was completely broken. Interesting that people below me complaining about slow or no internet on South IPC and my gaming is now fine in armoured warfare?

Are there international throughput issues in the CPT region?

Testing now, latency seems *fine* but my speedtest is giving 10Mbps to UK on my 20Mbps line...

Why'd you call your router ADSL? :D

69ms is quite high to the exchange, what do your line stats look like?

EDIT: You're using WiFi I assume? Would you mind installing WiFi analyzer and showing us a screenshot of the WiFi signal around you? Could be your WiFi dropping packets due to interference.

My Router is not called ADSL, don't know why it shows that.

All that Wifi analyzer shows is my router and the repeater/extender. No other wifi signals.

Click on the tool thing at the top. It should show wifi meter or something

It does show signal strenght and so on. What I'm trying to say is that apart from my wifi there is no other wifi showing for my area.

They are all mine. Router and 2 wifi repeater/extenders.

speeds has gone to zero this is starting to look like the same problems we had with the previous network

Doubt it. :)

Do you have some test results I could look at? I really have no idea what sort of account you are on even, and that can greatly affect your performance.

It doesn't look like there were any widespread issues last night.

When you say the latency was "fine" was it okay, or was it just not noticeably bad?
