This is what steam downloads are for me right now.

I am talking to critical care.

NetWorx, pretty nice once you change a few settings.

Very weird when you consider that is one continuous download without pausing.

Otherwise literally everything else 100%.

We can monitor your traffic and see why this could be happening. Will also check in with the team and see where they're at.

I see the Nvidia drivers are still being pull from a US server.

Good speed but you know...local is lekker.

Afriman/dude/etc:

Enjoying good pings to EU servers lately. Did you do something over at your side?

Keep up the good work. (If you're ever in Pinetown, beers on me)

We're always doing little things to improve our performance, but they could have big effects on your experience. We're working on a quite a few, and the team are really burning the midnight oil on making things as awesome as they can be :)

Pick a server, select a video, stream it.
Maximum streaming rate 21KBs, in other words unwatchable.
Same site, same video, same file, select download.
Downloads at 520KBs.
How is that NOT shaping?

Telkom streams and downloads that file at the same speed, no distinction between streaming or downloading, both exceed 400KBs.

If it is not shaping is it different channels for different protocols.
Roll on net neutrality, Afrihost is useless after 5 PM.

It shouldn't be shaping, becuase we would want it the other way around - priority to streaming over downloads, so it doesn't fit either way.

We'd be happy to monitor your traffic and see what could be limiting your throughput on a stream. or post a link so I can try it out and compare :(

Subsequently I got a message from VOX to say there is an international issue that is giving intermittent problems to all ISP's.
I will assume it is a linked issue. The down load worked fine so am watching offline.

Not sure what capacity VOX use, but our team are not reporting the same. Streaming seems good for me but it could be locally cached. If you have an example, I would be happy to test for you.

:(

I'm not seeing any issues on our side. Which streaming sites are you having trouble with? What type of account do you have with us?
