Well my line was fixed but I have gone from having no ASSIA on my line, and it working perfectly before the storm, to being fixed and having ASSIA re-enabled  Sigh..........

Afri-guys I have PM'd TelkomZA and sent a message through the Client Zone ( Critical Care nogal because I still have the ticket open :p ) to please get that BS off my line. Anything you can do or do I need to PM ?

i basically mentioned this to Genie and Gian re changing it to 100GB capped packages and above only, and not lower. So blame me to those below :D However, i feel that is right, and even if you guys are happy to see people use the data, i dont think it was right for said user to pay R29 and consume 3TB of data. That is something which will see Free Time removed, and see regular long time clients pack it in and move, because they are being respectful towards the next one.

Free time is awesome, its innovative, its smart, and its moving internet in this country forward and onto another level. it now makes Internet affordable as well. Its great to see Free Time into December, but i do feel that Free Time needs at least 6 months to give the best possible idea of how it goes
If you have a direct line to Gian
Please ask him to STOP SENDING ****ING SPAM.

i have 10+ emails to support where they promised my email has been removed but I continue to receive his unwanted crap.

Pretty sure there is an opt out option on the emails?

Do you still qualify for the free data if you take out a bundle deal dsl line and 50gb + 50 gb ?

As long as your base package is R99 or more, which 50GB+50GB should be, then you'll carry on receiving free time. If it's less than R99, you'll be getting After hours data from midnight to 8am :)

It won't be, the only reason it's being extended for December is due to festive season as businesses close, more bandwidth is available for consumers. Come January, it will all go back to normal and free-time will be but a distant memory.

I think it's too early to say that. Gian has said that his intention is to keep it running for as long as possible, which means there's every chance it could be extended or even become permanent if the numbers add up.

Either way, I think After Hours data will probably remain, from midnight to 8am, so there will definitely be free data around :)

I just hope the double data remains. Everyone is offering R 199 for 200GB. My usage with free time averages around 90GB per month so Free Time not remaining is alright with me. Just hope that the network improves since lately, it's not as it should be.

As far as I am aware the network is holding up, but it's a strange time of the year. We generally see a lot of activity leading up to December and then usage goes pretty dead for about 6 weeks until early Jan. We'll keep a close eye on things and keep performance at optimal levels :)
