My line is stable, SNR and ATT looks good. I don't see why these drops would occur.

yeh i know i have congestion, but i would have assumed my youtube streaming would take a hit rather than general browsing.It takes a bit of time to load the page. I tried on both Afrihost DNS and Open DNS and still the same. Gaming is okay via the EA servers, although i did notice a bit of lag when playing a game

Yea, lets wait and see what the afri-gents have to say about these issues.
 
Anyone here moved their ADSL line from Afrihost back to Telkom? Was there any pain, any suffering, any downtime?

How did you manage to do it without any downtime? Telkom keeps telling me that a line move from another ISP back to them can be anything from 3 to 7 days downtime.
 
Yeah, that's what they told me as well, but I didn't have any downtime, Afrihost handled the whole move on my part....

Upload Speed: 131 kbps (16.4 KB/sec transfer rate)

Jitter: 41 ms

Same here, I have gone from 80mbps odd to 9mbps. International is still showing random packet loss.

Like I have said many times in the past, international traffic on the new Afrigreen, now production network is very inconsistent and unreliable. Local traffic never seems to have issues. Afrihost seriously need to invest in proper international transit. As much as they deny the issues, there is clearly an issue. And lets not get started on the musical DNS servers, I am using Google DNS now, Afrihost's DNS servers change more than my underwear.

I saw your previous post. It is bad but you should have forwarded it to one of the Reps instead or blank the name of the consultant.
