hi there i am having some troubles with my internet tonight phoned afrihost loged a fault still waiting for a reference number this is my results

The very same for me in Cape Town last night... couldn't watch YouTube at all...switched off and called it an early night...

Was there a network issue in your area?

Where there any other services affected as well?

I didn't really bother to investigate.... browsing was fine...p2p was slow and I struggled with YouTube on 240p... this was just YouTube and nothing else running in the background.

Lets hope its all gone by tonight otherwise I'll do some tests and post here.

Got to give it to Telkom this time. After my line being dead since Saturday evening they have been working on it all day, it's not fixed yet but around a hour ago the techie calls me. Very sorry that we haven't been able to sort your line yet, something at the exchange etc etc, we are continuing tomorrow but in the meanwhile we have been able to at least get you something, it's not great, it's not very stable, but you will at least be able to browse and email tonight.

I'm getting around 0.2 up and 1 MB down and SNR is terrible, but at least I'm online again. Thanks Telkom.

Yea I'm also offline, since yesterday afternoon, running on 3g atm:(..but at least I got hold of my telkom contact, said he will check it today..
