I'll need to get an update from our Team, I believe that they were still working to trying to replicate it, the guys working on this may need to contact you directly to see what's happening.
 
2 - Shaping:
Home Uncapped packages are subject to throttling should a user have reached their monthly threshold and our network is under strain. Premium Uncapped packages are not subject to throttling or monthly thresholds, and will enjoy full speed real-time services under all normal circumstances, but may be subject to shaping of downloads should the network be under strain. Business Uncapped packages are not subject to throttling, shaping or monthly thresholds - but do however come with a user controllable feature via ClientZone to prioritise non-p2p traffic on their account to ensure business-critical services always get the highest priority.

Damn, you guys need to get some peering with China or something. Using Baidu Maps is a pain when it bursts to 3.6mbps and then averages out at 700kbps.
Is this an issue with you guys or is this a China thing?

It's mainly a distance thing... Routing to China is a bit of a roundabout experience. What do you use Baidu Maps for? If you don't mind me asking?

so at 8.18am this is posted but at 11.15 i get a message saying: The guys are still looking through everything on our side. We did see a huge increase in demand so I am sure that is related as well.

this is what i mean about transparancy.. the left hand doesnt know what the right hand is doing!!!

Not for anything serious like business. I like using Baidu Street view since Google is not allowed to do Street view in China. I get to look around Beijing without actually spending a fortune to go there ^_^

This is why sharing partial messages from Critical Care is problematic, a link going down for a few moments in the North wouldn't have affected our Clients in the East and South.
 
Is this the start of an IPC issue? Bacause the link (your words on this forum - so I am not breaking any more "playground rules") was down for a few minutes. How does this tie in with the high demand that AfriGuy spoke about last night (again on this forum)? Was the high demand due to the link going down or due to IPC shortage?

Demand was much higher than expected, which caused a degradation in service, our Team is investigating to see if this because of a fault on our side or not. Once we've received 100% confirmation, we'll let you know.

So the Million Dollar question, Are Afrihost going to use the IPC price cuts to increase IPC capacity or are they going to lower prices?

That is all I want to know, I personally would like to see a 50/50 :whistle:
 
Is this an afrihost issue?

Been having severe dc's and lag spikes the last two - three days (would hate to do a zillion tests again just to prove it is not on my end)
