same 5 % loss in London , better than the 20 % plus loss earlier , but it is not stable at all
spending my time pinging and testing when all i want is to play

see post #1828 showing 20% plus loss pretty much all the way

As I stated previously - it seems to be all over - with regards to my connection ofc. Even browsing is giving me time-outs and/or takes ages to load a page.
Included a ping test to Battle.net and the result is similar.

Who knew ISPAfrica is using Afrihost as bandwidth so testing with the acc that comes with my 40MB fibre line gives exactly the same result
Signed up for trial account with Crystalweb and boy was i surprised with the results
Absolutely night and day difference , going to use the trial tonight to test and play
Afriguy thanks for trying to help , but your upstream provider is up to sh*t in the UK at around hop 14
This has been a problem for me for 2 / 3 days with the disconnect , and I understand things happen , but I have reached the point of coming on to forum to complain , and no one at Afrihost acknowledges the problem , and we start the round of testing and sending results and on and on we go. All i really want to do is game online

Just wanted to touch base with everyone and keep everyone on the same page.
First off, I'm really sorry about the poor experience and mixed comms from our end yesterday. I know it sucks, but I can promise you - we're all hands on deck.
So we saw huge, and by huge I mean the majority of our IPC traffic huge, demand pick up yesterday which have been attributed MS updates. The demand lasted until around 23:00 last night.
Our team did do their best to provide the best possible experience to everyone, and will continue to do so. Unfortunately it's simply not feasible to have such a large amount of IPC capacity available to cover these kind of update demands without incurring costs well into the millions of Rands.
Demand does seem to have stabilised, and we're doing our absolute best to better prep for bigger OS updates and general demand on the network going forward

I echo your post, international traffic has always been poor in general. Afrihost needs to seriously reconsider their upstream international providers, I have stated this on numerous occasions.
YouTube is battling tonight, seems to fine one minute and buffers the next.

YouTube is pulling from Mweb's Google cluster, via the same node that was down yesterday at Teraco. I have a feeling the link is taking strain, not near a pc to test. But international is absolutely terrible at the moment.
We've got a pretty hefty Google link setup, not seeing any congestion there.
Demand does still seem quite high at the moment - however please keep our Critical Care team in the loop here.
I'm really not sure. My Business account is running well at the moment.
As our Critical Care team have a history with your query, I'd strongly recommend posing this questions to them for a deeper look into.
