Afrihost New Network Feedback - Part 2

Not sure if there's a CDN/ Node in KZN, could be an issue if you're routing via JHB.
Have you logged a query with your general MWEB issues seen on our network?

Yes and my ticket disappeared, not showing on ClientZone anymore, don't feel like doing it all over again.

But every night, anything hosted at Mweb goes to snot,
Anything not hosted at Mweb fly's, if I switch to my Mweb account the internet is perfect.

so it's not congestion, it's not my lines and it's not my routers.

How many more testes do I have to post? I am on just about every page

Is there a ref# I can look at?

Nope, never got the email with it. I usually do, but not this time.

Like my friend, she has no cancel button in ClientZone and support still dragging their feet, over a month.

Usually ref# are generated immediately, and if the ticket is closed it's still available via ClientZone. Are you 100% sure there's no auto-responder in your inbox somewhere?
I really do think a consolidated approach via our Support team is your best bet here, as opposed to sporadic forum discussions which makes an issue near impossible to trend.

As for a cancellation button, it's under Edit Package.

Nope no reference number there, double checked.

And I am 100% sure there is no cancel button, even critical care are stumped. They logged in and confirmed it.

I switched my DNS to Google DNS and now YouTube pulling from vox cache servers at line speed.

Something between Mweb and Afrihost at Teraco in DBN is broken.

What DNS have you previously been using?
Happy to double check the cancellation button - drop me a PM.

Something is broken somewhere in Mweb's network, period. It may be worse in some areas than others but, in general any traffic that has the misfortune to find itself dependent on any Mweb network infrastructure is in deep trouble.

Well Afrihost relies heavily on Mweb for CDN, which affects Google, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, some games, Showmax, DSTV, Microsoft updates, and the list goes on. There might be alternative CDN clusters on Vox, Telkom and IS, but currently everything points to the Mweb network. From all my digging I am yet to find any CDN clusters located directly on Afrihost's own network.

Exactly! Until Mweb takes the trouble to sort out whatever is wrong with their "CDN cluster" and or CDN service, these issues will continue to plague all those that depend on it. I first picked up this issue in May 2015. That is now a year later, and basically, nothing has been done about making it any better, or, even coping with the increased traffic.

7th night in a row now I can not access Mweb sites, YouTube buffering, Facebook slow and international packet loss. Come on Afrihost, something in the KZN network is buggy.
